  • LOVELY Cabin! Peaceful, comfy, and well-maintained.

"The pictures for Trinity's Hide-away do not do this lovely cabin justice. The cabin is larger and more updated than shown. It exceeded our expectations! It is situated on a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac with hardly any traffic. The views out the front door and windows are breath-taking. The front porch is the perfect place to sit in one of the rocking chairs and greet the day with a fresh cup of coffee. The hot tub is very nice on the back deck. The large jacuzzi tub in the bedroom is fantastic. The community pool is well-maintained, as well. If you're looking to stay on the peaceful side of the Smokys, this is an excellent choice. We definitely plan to return for another stay!"

  • Enjoy the REAL flavor of the lake!

"It's with some hesitation that I write this review. You know how you happen upon something that you feel is a treasure, share it with others, and word spreads, then YOU suddenly have limited access to "YOUR" find? I don't want that to happen with this sweet lake house; however, it's not fair to the fantastic owners to not let others in on the secret. This was our second time staying in this lake house. Here's the deal: This is one of the older homes on the lake (we LOVE that), so it offers that wonderful campy feel. There are NO steps from your car to the back door; however, as with all the houses, there are stairs down to the lake and (NEW) dock. The front porch, overlooking the lake and mountains, has got to be one of the best. It offers a place to dine, ample seating, a gas fireplace/stove, and a great place to sleep. It's where we spent most of our time on both visits, and where we always ate when not out on the lake. The kitchen is well-stocked, though no dishwasher (typical of these lake houses) and offers a large eating area. The living room is bright with two sets of sliding glass doors looking out to the screened porch. Despite being heavily shaded, the house is bright. The heavy shade and being on the lake result in humidity in the house, but it's not anything you can't deal with. Due to the one bath situation, you'd probably want to stay here only with those with whom you're rather close. :) This is the perfect place to really get away. Cell phone reception is extremely limited, but there is wi-fi at the house. We don't know about the satellite/cable situation. We only turned on the television one evening to watch one of the movies in the collection. Restaurants are limited in the area. We preferred to cook at the house almost every night. Also, this is a "dry" county. You'll have to drive quite a way to purchase alcohol, so bring it with you. You're entrenched in nature here and on a lake, so enjoy it! The owners are truly great! Both times they got back with us immediately. We had no problems during either stay, but I feel that they would have been very responsive. And both times they welcomed our dogs. All in all, this is THE BEST deal on Lake Santeetlah. Now you're in on the secret."

  • Great relaxing trip!

"We had such a great week at this Lake Santeetlah home! This lake holds special memories as my Dad used to rent homes here when I was a little girl. When we pulled up and saw the proximity of the house to the water, it was awesome! You practically step out of the house onto the dock! And the water is so clean and clear. The house is light and airy and well equipped. Comfortable beds too. The screened in porch was my favorite spot every morning for coffee. So peaceful! Gail gave us the name of a very nice man, Jim, and we were able to rent a pontoon boat from him for the week at a great rate too. The boat was at the house when we arrived which was such a bonus! Tapaco Lodge was great for lunch as well as the Hub for breakfast and the Cherhola Skyway drive was so fun. We drove to a waterfall and my son cliff jumped. His favorite part of the trip! We would definitely rent this home again and can't wait to come back! Its a dry county so we just brought our own beer and wine. No biggie. And a grocery store is 3 miles away. Great location! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We still talk about that trip!"

"Our time here was great!! The cabin was beautiful, just like the pictures. Definitely plan on coming back. Have told both my sisters if they go to Tennessee to rent this cabin. Also, the view from the cabin was amazing!"
