  • Fabulous house

"A group of college friends came together to visit a college friend who lives in the area who is very ill. We had stayed in several hotels and B and Bs in the area on prior visits, this was by far the best place we have stayed. The house is in a beautiful spot. The house is beautifully decorated in the oar house theme. It is very clean and comfortable an offers privacy as well as places to gather. The owners are lovely and extremely helpful."

  • Close to hiking trails!

"This quaint cottage like condo is close to many state parks and national forests. We enjoyed the convenience of being close to many beautiful waterfall hikes. The condos location makes you feel as if you are in a wooded area. The screened in porch with rockers is the best part of the condo. The location is also close to Brevard with all the shopping and restaurant conveniences. Definitely a place I'd choose again."

  • Enjoyed our stay here

"We really enjoyed our stay here in Flat Rock. The home is very nice, roomy and has everything one would want and then some. I've stayed in numerous VRBOs around the country, and I can say that this house has a complete kitchen - well stocked with pots, pans, etc. should one want to eat in. They even have a few 'basics' in the pantry, which really comes in handy. Clean, well maintained, modern and attractive. Enjoyed the back porch watching fireflies by night and hummingbirds by day. Easy to get to Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Asheville - very close to the main interstate. Carl Sandburg National Historic Site is about 10 minutes away and nice for a short hike. We also had family in the area, and were able to host a dinner party for 9 of us - plenty of room - with living room and enclosed porch, and a large yard. Carol went out of her way to accommodate us, and we would stay here again, if in the area."

  • Perfect getaway!

"My two children spent a week at a camp in the area and in order to avoid one exceptionally long day of driving, we decided to travel to Hendersonville on Friday, pick the kids up Saturday morning and return home on Sunday. I am so very glad we were able to stay in this neat and clean cabin. The views from the cabin are absolutely beautiful! My son is a bit of an explorer and it was not long before he discovered the blackberries peppered on the property and on the gravel road down the mountain. He started with a handful but eventually had over 200 (yes, he counted them) so we had to drive back to town to get the ingredients for a blackberry cobbler. Our plans came about last-minute and Beth was extremely responsive and helpful (and patient...we played phone tag for a while) throughout the entire booking. I especially like the fact that there were no hidden processing fees, etc. as is often the case with other VRBO rentals. There is already discussion about going back next year! This property will not disappoint---but be warned, you really DO need AWD or 4WD for the last two miles!"
