  • Beautiful home and location!

"We enjoyed our stay at Bear Lake. The home was the perfect size for our family of 5. Although we did not eat at the club, the facilities were nice and the menu looked delicious. The outside fireplace was fantastic as was the fire pit. The kids enjoyed "exploring" by the stream behind the house. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all the needed amenities. The personnel at guest services were extremely helpful. The location was very central to all the things we wanted to do. We spent the day in Asheville one day and the next we did a long hike at Great Smoky Mountain NP. We hope to stay here again."

  • Hendersonville getaway

"We loved our little getaway, our favorite time at the house was spend on the awesome porch which was what drew us to that particular rental to begin with. The house was very comfortable, quiet and well stocked with everything we needed. would definitely go there again."

  • Awesome little secuded in the hills!

"Our family stayed at this cabin this week. When we arrived, the cabin was clean. They provide everything you could possible need, fresh linens, fully stocked kitchen with newer appliances (including a dishwasher), and a mini fridge sink, microwave, and toaster in the downstairs master suite! The beds were VERY COMFORTABLE! They might have been the best beds we have ever slept in away from home! They provide bird food and corn for feeders located around the decks, and it was interesting watching the birds and squirrels in the morning! The cabin is high enough up the hill to feel very private, even though there are other cabins nearby. We could only see one, through the trees below us, and we couldn't see much, just a little light and the color of a car parked there. We brought our motorcycle to take a few rides while we were here. There is enough room to trailer in, as long as your trailer is small, and you can unhook and walk it around to turn around (there isn't quite enough room to turn it around at the cabin). Yes, the road up is steep, and perhaps a little scary the first time, but it's not horrible. I was a little worried about riding the bike down and up the road to the cabin, but my worries were unfounded. I think it was easier than driving the truck up. We only rode a few hundred miles through the mountains (our teenage kids were with us, so we didn't think it fair to leave them for long), but this is some beautiful riding! I can't imagine much prettier except for some of those bucket list place like the Pacific Coast Highway. We were looking for a place, away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but close enough to the Smoky Mountains National Park to make day trips. This location perfectly fit the bill. We took day trips into the park to Cades Cove, Clingmans Dome, and many other parts of the park. We grabbed meals in Townsend, Bryson City, and Cherokee, and was happy with each meal (check tripadvisor for the highest ranked places). We also prepared several meals in the cabin, especially breakfasts, but also used the provided grill to prepare steaks and burgers! If were return to the Smokies, we would definitely book this place again."

  • Perfect place for our reunion!

"This house was perfect for our high school reunion of 10. Many laughs and memories were created. Not only was it the perfect setting for all of us to rest our heads but conveniently located within minutes to Asheville, the Biltmore, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Weaverville - all spots we visited together. Everything we needed was provided including wild turkeys:) We had a great time and the consensus is we will be back. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Lindy Smith"
