  • Great weekend getaway!

"Several friends and I went on a long weekend getaway to Asheville/Hendersonville and had a wonderful time! The house was great for a quick trip and we really enjoyed our stay. The game room was not available to us and we only used the main house. Everything was relatively well-kept and we loved the cabin feel. We loved the hot tub, which was very clean. A wood pile would have been helpful to have so we wouldn't have to buy firewood to use the fire pit. Our one main issue with the house was the fact that everyone had to be awake or everyone asleep because of the way sound travels in the house. From the second floor we could actually see light coming through the floorboards and could hear/talk to people talking in the kitchen downstairs without raising our voices. It didn't turn into an issue for us, but it's something I think others should be aware of. That said, we loved staying here and would gladly return. I also have to say how beautiful it was. We stayed in mid-April right when all the flowers started to bloom on the property and it was gorgeous. We also loved seeing all the apple trees in the area with their fresh blossoms. A warning to those unfamiliar with the area: this house is fairly secluded. There are no street lights and at night it is very dark. The roads are long, steep and wind around large bends so be prepared for that as you get closer to the house. We also loved the Asheville/Hendersonville area. Both downtown areas were so cute and we loved walking around. We explored several of the wineries (We loved Burntshirt the best!) and visited the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, which was really fun and one of the highlights of our trip. They had a gorgeous outdoor space with a balcony, patio, plentiful seating (including rocking chairs) and live music. We also went over to the Chimney Rock State Park one morning and climbed to the top. We thought it would be more of a hike, but it was actually all stairs, so we still got our workout in for the day. The views were amazing and I highly recommend heading over there if you're in the area. Overall, we loved our visit and would stay again."

  • a cozy get away

"we were incredibly cared for by the entire yonder staff - they made our vacation so lovely... the cabin is incredibly cozy - the hot tub is in a secluded area with a sweet koi pond right next to it - but, of course, there are other wonderful vistas to view... and the stars were a plenty -- the home was clean and comfortable! thanks for a great night's stay!"

  • Charming little cabin, perfect for our weekend!

"Elisabeth is an outstanding host! She met us at the property, gave us a tour, showed us different places to hike that were close by, and even left us a homemade pound cake to snack on. The cabin itself has everything you need, so there are no complaints there. We were about 15 min from Dupont State Park which came highly recommended by Elisabeth. So we took advantage of that and took our dog along with us. We spent majority of our weekend in Asheville, which is about a 30-35 min drive from Hendersonville, so you have to plan your activities accordingly. But I would prefer the location of our stay over the city so the drive did not bother us! However, little did we know Hendersonville itself has so much to offer. Elisabeth had many recommendations for eating, seeing, and visiting (all which were dog friendly!) Next time, we will be spending some more time exploring that area. We have to complaints on our end, Elisabeth made everything so easy for us which gave us time to really enjoy our stay! Thanks again, Elisabeth! We look forward to the next trip :)"
