  • In the city but out of the way...

"Best hideaway in forever to be what I would call in the city-(Hendersonville). The home was away from everything but close to everything. Tucked away on an unnoticeable street is quiet serenity and beauty. Fully equipped and just plain lovely. The screen-porch and swing were just oh-la-la ...we had breakfast there each morning. Definitely a come and stay again."

  • Perfect Mountain Stay

"Our group of 12 loved our stay at Hawks Haven. There is more than enough room for everyone with the two spacious living areas. All of the light switches, drawers, and cabinets are clearly labeled for convenience. The attention to detail made the experience all the more pleasant. You also can't beat the view from the back decks! The house is within an hour our Asheville and also close to Lake Lure. The twisting mountain roads also make the trek memorable. The owners are very responsive to questions and helpful. I would definitely recommend renting for a large group or family for a mountain week or weekend."

  • Slice of Heaven for Humans and Dogs Alike

"This past weekend, we stayed at the Dogwood with our dog, and our friends who also have a dog. In general, we find it quite difficult to travel, as not many accommodations are pet-friendly. Many will say they are for a pretty large pet fee. This is why I love the Dogwood. The cabin is truly pet-friendly. It was extremely clean when we arrived, and had charming animal friendly features such as dog bowls, dog washing supplies/towels, dog beds, and poop bags. The fenced in yard was fantastic, especially since we could watch our dogs run around from the back deck while we enjoyed the grill and chatting at the outside seating area. Our vacation was stress free knowing that our dogs could play all day and would be tired out in time for us to go explore the sights of Asheville at night. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed during our stay, including pots and pans, coffee maker, dishes, pot holders, and steak knives; all things that we were happy we did not have to pack for our visit. The bedrooms and bathrooms were both spacious, clean, and stocked with extra pillows and towels. Lastly, the owners of the property are very thoughtful, accessible, and understanding. We had a wonderful weekend getaway and would love to come back for a visit soon! Chrissy, Tyler, and Nina"

  • Peaceful & Romantic

"This place is perfect for a romantic getaway or small family vacation. The sound of the river at your back door is so captivating! My husband and I just sat on the expansive deck and watched and listened to it. The hot tub is roomy and private. It felt so soothing to relax in after our hike to Chimney Rock. Inside is updated, comfortable and clean. We fell in love with the area. There is so much to do within a short driving distance. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY!!! The owners were a pleasure to work with. I definitely recommend this property. It was our first experience staying in a VRBO property and we were not disappointed!"
