  • Great Weekend Getaway

"Very comfortable suite in a historic home in Hendersonville. The wife and I enjoyed our visit very much. Having a comfortable place to relax in each evening was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. Paul is very nice and will make sure you have what you need for a great stay."

  • Peaceful, restful and beautifully appointed!

"I am just willing to go ahead and move in if that is alright:). This location is 1.2 miles walk to town with a treed and house lights elevated view on a private road. It is absolutely beautifully decorated and managed extremely well. We had a wonderful restful stay- the colors, textures and materials made it a lovely night's sleep. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay!"

  • Gorgeous Cabin with a rustic feel, but all the modern amenities!

"We have stayed at multiple VRBOs in the Asheville/Hendersonville area and this, by far, has been the best accommodation experience. First of all, Randy was phenomenal in getting the VRBO booked. It's one of the few cabins that does not tack on several hundred dollars in hidden fees. The pictures posted on the website were beautiful, but they definitely do not do it justice! The home's aesthetics in person far exceed what the pictures depict. The home is much larger than we expected and could actually host 4 couples comfortably! It is in a great location, particularly for those who like to hike and enjoy quiet solitude in the forest. It is, however, near to the town of Brevard which houses several wonderful breweries. We could not recommend this home more highly!"

  • Absolutely fabulous

"My wife and I stayed here March 7-10, 2017 to go hiking and enjoy the area. We've stayed at many rental properties over the years, and the Peregrine House is perhaps the best of them all. The house was spotless, tastefully decorated without being tacky, well appointed, well maintained, and, well luxurious. We're very picky about our coffee (seriously, life is too short for mediocre coffee) so we've learned to travel with our own preferred Cuisinart machine. We knew we had found our place when upon arrival, there was the same coffee maker on the counter. Kelly was a delight to work with, and what minor questions we had were quickly resolved. The views were great (the trees had not leafed out yet) and yet the house is very private. The beds and bedding are also top-notch, and we slept very comfortably While visiting we ate at Never Blue in Hendersonville (try the Red Sangria!) and Magpie Meat and Three in Brevard. Both were excellent, with Never Blue being a little more upscale. We went hiking on the Art Loeb Trail at Blank Balsam Knob - incredible 360 degree views from the balds - and at DuPont State Forest to see the many waterfalls there. We also visited the Sierra Nevada and New Belgium breweries in Asheville. I try and give balanced reviews and include anything other renters would want to know. There really were no negatives here, other than perhaps that the many windows allowed the house to heat up quite a bit during the day. We were gone during the day and returned both days to find the house well over 80. We had to open the doors and windows to cool the house down enough to sleep well. You'll also want to notice that there's a $200 cleaning fee, which is way, way beyond the typical $75 or so. In short, the Peregrine House is a fabulous property and I would not hesitate to stay there again."
