  • Just What I Needed

"Property just as described and pictured except the place looks better than the pictures. Very accommodating. Quiet relaxing premises with hummingbirds and butterflies attracted to garden off swim spa deck. Well-appointed and very clean! Versatile space great for one to two people or a small group of family/friends. Nestled between Pisgah National Forest and downtown Hendersonville, one hears nothing but Nature, and the sound is glorious. Will definitely be back! Pamela and Dennis have done a GREAT job here!"

  • Relaxing getaway! Perfect for one or two couples.

"I reserved this lovely house for a weekend retreat for my husband and I with our best friends. The hot tub was a big attraction along with the river. The river delivered as expected. Very peaceful, beautiful and true to the name, ROCKY! We were disappointed to turn on the hot tub only to hear the breaker trip off instantly. I e-mailed the owner and within a short time, an electrician showed up. By that evening, the hot tub was the perfect temperature. Yay! The house was clean, hot tub was pristine, kitchen fully stocked, hot water was HOT, air conditioning was cool... all we needed for a perfect weekend. We will be back. Possibly this winter to enjoy the fire pit."

  • Peaceful & Romantic

"This place is perfect for a romantic getaway or small family vacation. The sound of the river at your back door is so captivating! My husband and I just sat on the expansive deck and watched and listened to it. The hot tub is roomy and private. It felt so soothing to relax in after our hike to Chimney Rock. Inside is updated, comfortable and clean. We fell in love with the area. There is so much to do within a short driving distance. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY!!! The owners were a pleasure to work with. I definitely recommend this property. It was our first experience staying in a VRBO property and we were not disappointed!"

  • Young children will love it!

"The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The house was better than what you see in the pictures. It is rustic and quaint, and very clean. We spent several days their with our family of seven, and had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently remodeled and the furniture was clean. Several months later our children are still talking about our stay and the converted basement into a game room. I highly recommend this place for a family with young children. The owners have gone well beyond their duty in making sure that the children had plenty of things to play with. Of note, there is only one parking spot and it favors an SUV due to the steep slope. Otherwise, it's close proximity to Asheville, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure makes it an ideal place to stay."
