  • Great weekend in the mountains with the kids and grandkids (and dog)

"Our three-day weekend away from Charleston was perfect from the start. Rebecca met us at her beautiful home and gave us the grand tour. The home has three bedroom suites (one on each floor) top notch appliances and furnishings (did I mention the heated tile floors in the bathrooms). Excellent cell service and GPS worked perfect. Just around the corner in Flat Rock is the home of Carl Sandburg (don't miss the goat barn) and of course Flat Rock. Best of all is the short drive into Hendersonville. Just a few minutes drive to the charming Main Street, and all of it's local shops. Don't forget to have lunch at Mike's diner and of course the historic Mast General Store. Regretablly we had to leave on Sunday morning to attend Super Bowl parties. Another day or two would have been supurb. I am sure that we will be regular visitors this year and years to come. Thanks so much to Rebecca and her husband for offering their home through VRBO."

  • Great place to relax

"We had a great time! Over the past few years, we have stayed at numerous cabins. This one has the charm of a real 1800's cabin but also with enough modern additions to better conform with our needs for the 21st century. One of our desires, if not requirement is a king size bed. With what looks like 2 additions to the original cabin, it is spacious with what looks like over 1600 square feet. Two separate "wings" off the original cabin provides a bedroom with a king and a bedroom with a queen. With a stairway off the dining room there is a hatch that leads to 2 more beds for a couple kids. We were provided with plenty of wood for the living room fireplace, and were encouraged to use it. And there are separate heaters in each room to keep you warm when the temperature drops, as it did for us. The biggest surprise was the cabin has 3 full baths with 2 showers and one tub. The cabin is set back from the road, and there are a few houses in the area, but it still felt isolated enough for us, and at the same time convenient to wherever we wanted to go. This will definitely be on our list for a future return."

  • Little Cabin Exceeds Expectations

"My family of five, including three small children, enjoyed a long weekend stay in this adorable restored cabin. We were amazed by all the antique furnishings and decor. It felt like a home instead of a vacation rental. There were so many essentials available for use in the cabin. Anything wew could have possibly needed was there. The communication with the property manager was phenomenal. Denise was quick to respond via text any questions we had. Our children enjoyed the hammock on the porch, fires in the fireplace, and the glider out on the side. We will definitely stay here again when we travel back to the area."
