  • Perfect House for Highlands Wedding!

"Cindee- The house was perfect for our group. I am so sorry about the dog incident. Our dog hasn't had an accident like that in years! I guess she was upset and confused about being left alone while we were at wedding events. I am happy to send additional money to cover the cleaning cost. We had a wonderful time staying in your house. Thank you."

  • Awesome Weekend!!

"We had 3 couples celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. What a great house to simply relax and enjoy each other's company. An unbelievable outdoor space. The home is also located between Highlands and Cashiers and made it very convenient for our day trips. David was also great in handling a small issue that we had. We all said we can't wait to do this again."

  • Fantastic forest get-away

"We had a fantastic time at MJ's cabin. It's well off the beaten path, but nicely located between Cashiers and Highlands so it's a great base for so many activities. We dined on great food at The Orchard (dinner) and Randevu (breakfast) in Cashiers and at The Pizza Place (gluten-free crust!) and Ugly Dog Public House in Highlands. Did three hikes and saw six waterfalls plus art exhibits (The Bascom in Highlands) in two days. If you're looking for shopping, galleries, or golf, they're here, too. The cabin was as good or better than advertised. Peaceful, relaxing, everything a get-away should be. Just open the door, and you're greeted with a great cabin smell -- some magic blend of campfire, old wood and leather. The cabin is small, but well-stocked and cozy. It was stunningly clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the wi-fi was a bonus in this remote area. The AC worked well, although we barely needed it. We hung out on the front porch, but the back looked equally inviting. The only sounds are the frogs in the nearby water. MJ was very easy to work with. We would echo the comments in other reviews about it being remote, so get your supplies first, and that the stairs might be a bit steep for some. Those were no trouble for us, and we would recommend that anyone who wants that true mountain cabin experience should check out this beautiful spot. We'll be back."
