  • Ideal Home with all the Amentities

"If you are looking for a home with a great mountain / lake view, located within steps to the lake, with everything you could possibly need, then this is THE HOUSE! My husband and I rented this home for a week. We have four kids, from ages 6-16. We shared it with my sister and her family as well. There were 11 of us total, and we had no problem spreading out comfortably. We were also pleasingly surprised to how well the kitchen was stocked. They had lots of spices, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, even condiments! Also, if you happen to forget any blankets for when you get chili, no problem! There are more than enough blankets all over the house. There are binoculars for looking at the mountains, a PS4 for the kids, lots of books, games, and cable TV's. Not to mention, a very comfortable boat the kids will love with plenty of life jackets, but bring your tube! Beautiful new remodeled bathrooms, a multi game table downstairs, and two beautiful decks with lots of seating! Honestly, this house has everything you could possibly need! If I had to pick something to improve on, it would be to add another king size bed downstairs. I felt bad my sister and her husband only had a queen to sleep in for they are both over 6' tall. However, we loved the house and our vacation and have already booked it for next year!!! :)"

  • Excellent, "luxury" cabin experience

"I went with three friends to stay at the Charmed Cottage and we all agreed it was an amazing experience. Brea gave very clear and straightforward instructions about how to get there (the drive up to the cabin is quite an adventure- it's a steep drive up the mountain on a gravel road, but our Mazda made it up just fine) and what to expect upon arrival. The cottage itself was beautiful. The bathrooms were equipped with fresh towels, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a home cooked meal, and there were multiple patios to enjoy the mountain air. For four people we had plenty of space. There's a little to explore outdoors around the property, but don't expect to play a game of soccer on the top of the mountain or to find any hike-able trails on the property (well there are a few hidden trails but they are short and I'd recommend wearing pants because the plants clearly grow like crazy on the mountain). The drive to Asheville is super easy (about 20-25 mins) and even getting to the nearest grocery store only took about 15 minutes. We had a blast and are planning to check out this cabin (or another of Brea's properties) in the fall when the leaves change colors. Highly recommend."

"Really enjoyed the property. Good layout and plenty of room for our crowd of 12. Plenty of dining space and we also enjoyed the game room!"

  • Beautiful Home in Secluded Area

"I recently stayed at this cabin with my three adult children and one more guest and we had a great time! The cabin was exactly as described and had everything we needed plus more. The kids really enjoyed the wide selection of board games that was there. The master bedroom downstairs was perfect for me and my younger son. The internet worked perfectly and we had cell service which was important to my children. We went down the Nantahala River one day and went Horseback riding at Smokemont another day. It was a very nice trip, but it was over way too fast. Also, the downtown Bryson City area is just a few miles away and is very cute and quaint. The cabin was everything we expected, and the hot tub was perfect! The only thing I didn't know ahead of time was there is a small spiral staircase to get downstairs to the master which is a little tricky because I have a bad ankle, but it was manageable. The master bedroom bathtub is also just the perfect size and I would love to have it at my home! I really enjoyed my stay at Bear Trax."
