  • Happy "campers"

"My family spent our 4th of July holiday at Ridgetop. We loved it! The views were amazing. The mountain house was spacious with an open floor plan perfect for family cooking and dining. We had plenty of space between the downstairs game room and upstairs master and other rooms. But the best part was the location! We enjoyed Maggie Valley, Waynesville (with local parade and evening entertainment) and of course GSMNP! The owner of Ridgetop was responsive and helpful. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed at our fingertips. It was certainly a vacation to remember! The cabin was also great for young children- easily accessible, good layout, and great furnishings."

  • The Perfect Vacation

"My 8 year old son is a train enthusiast. My husband is a wildlife enthusiast. I love luxurious accommodations. This was the perfect vacation for all of us. Situated on a private family farm, Station 451 provided the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The closest neighbors are the horses, goats and chickens. The owners, Brooke and Steven, responded to questions in a prompt manner and were extremely hospitable. They live on the property, and will personally greet you when you arrive. They made sure that every aspect of our stay was comfortable. You will fall in love with the caboose and bathhouse (complete with plush robes and thick bathtowels). The location is close to Catalootchee. Waynesville is a short 10-15 minute drive. We thoroughly enjoyed the firepit, the refreshments (local sodas, beer, and granola), handmade soaps, and the attention to detail put forth in the decor/furnishings. During our stay, it was too cold to use the outdoor shower, but the double-headed shower in the bathhouse was just as fabulous and relaxing. The pictures are a true representation. Just a quick note, the kitchenette does not have a microwave, but you can reheat leftovers in the toaster oven. Waking up to a blanket of snow on the morning of our departure topped off the stay. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. If you are looking for a unique and memorable place, I would highly recommend Station 451. It is well-worth the splurge, because family memories are priceless. Thank you, Brooke and Steven, for the perfect mini-vacation! We appreciate the hard-work and effort that you put into the caboose and hope that many other families will enjoy their stay as much as we did. We will see you again during our next visit!"
