  • Annual Anniversay Weekend

"Our cabin experience was exceptional. Every year for our wedding anniversary, we go to the North Georgia mountain area and rent a cabin for the weekend. This cabin was more organized and user friendly than any of the others. One feature not mentioned in descriptions was the hummingbirds. We were entertained by them and then noticed the nectar recipe and ingredients posted in the kitchen. The information of local places to visit and possible tours available was organized and found in a notebook and basket. Furnishings and fireplaces were top notch cabin style with great views. The books and games as well as the number of televisions were better than the other cabins especially during our rainy weekend. We did enjoy Lake Blue Ridge one morning and the new Casino one evening. Proximity to both was a bonus. However, my favorite feature was the owner’s touch. He was so available by phone/text for us and the welcome gift bag was a beautiful touch. We highly recommend this cabin."

  • Awesome view, great value

"We planned a trip to Blue Ridge, and booked the chalet. We knew it was a little farther north from all the 'attractions' compared to a Blue Ridge address. However, I think it was totally worth it. A little more driving, but the views are awesome...really, it's like being in a tree house on the back deck. No wi-fi, which we also knew about, but cell service was surprisingly good (both AT&T and Verizon). It was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. There was pretty detailed instructions on everything and Judy was a pleasure to deal with. Compared to other rentals a little south in Blue Ridge, this is by far the best value we've come across so far. We would stay again anytime!"

  • Perfect family getaway

"We just returned from a long weekend at The Bluff and had an amazing time! It was a much needed getaway where we could relax and unplug. The cabin is very clean and well equipped. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin and besides the actual food, the only items we were missing were aluminum foil and cooking spray. Otherwise, we had everything we needed. The cabin is tastefully decorated. It's spacious yet cozy and tucked away in the woods but also very convenient to everything in the Blue Ridge area. Our two boys (ages 10 and 12) made the upstairs loft area their "hangout" and enjoyed playing games up there as well as sleeping in the two double beds. The beds both upstairs and downstairs were very comfortable. The views of the mountains are gorgeous, especially when the sun is setting. We did venture out to see the sights but also enjoyed just hanging out at the cabin on the reclining couch or in the rockers on the screened in porch. This was our first trip to the Blue Ridge area and we didn't have nearly enough time to do everything we wanted to do, but the highlights of our trip included climbing to the top of Amicalola Falls (it's spectacular!), fishing on Lake Blue Ridge, feeding the animals at Build an Ark Animal Rescue (bring Cheetos for the pigs!), as well as shopping, dining and hunting Pokemon (Go Team Mystic!) in downtown Blue Ridge. The downtown area is lovely. We ate at several places during our stay but our favorite by far was Chester's. Highly recommended! A stop by Huck's General Store is a must! Huck is a super-friendly small business owner who engages every person that enters his store. You'll find lots of great gifts, souvenirs, and more at very reasonable prices. Don't forget to fill a bucket with penny candy! The Ingles (local grocery store) was amazing. There's a Starbucks right inside the front door and the store offers more brands and choices than any stores I've seen. The Cotters were excellent hosts. They responded quickly to every one of our emails and were very easy to work with. We called them with questions during our stay and they were friendly and helpful. A couple of light bulbs were out and they provided replacements the very same day. We viewed a lot of cabins on VRBO before our stay and we are so glad we chose The Bluff. It was the perfect size and location for our family at a great rate. Thanks again Jack and Barbara! Your cabin provided us the perfect escape from the blistering heat of Florida in the summer!"

  • Beautiful, private and tranquil.

"I surprised my sister with a rafting trip and a weekend stay at this beautiful cabin for her birthday. It was clean, very welcoming and cozy. When you walk in, it feels like home. It doesn't feel artificial like some places. My favorite part of the whole trip was drinking my morning coffee on that beautiful covered porch listening to the birds. It was so relaxing, I really hated to leave. But on a lighter side, we booked this cabin again for 3 weeks from now for another rafting trip. Looking forward to our next trip."
