"From booking to leaving, Tracey took care of all details, making our stay very memorable and hassle-free! We wish we had booked for a longer stay....and we certainly hope to revisit this restful piece of paradise! Escaping the heat and humidity of Florida, the beautiful mountains and valleys were a welcome respite. As we headed into Hayesville for breakfast our first morning, and to go grocery shopping, we were overjoyed to see frost in the meadows and wild turkey and deer in the fields....lovely! Even had to stop for turkeys crossing the road once...a sight you do not see very often! The cabin itself is welcoming and so very comfortable. Tracey and Gary have thought of everything....down to the details to make everything homey and comfortable! The wide gravel driveway leads to a 2-car attached garage which was so convenient for coming and going from the grocery store and sight-seeing. There are two roomy bedrooms with two pristine bathrooms, plus another bonus bedroom off the garage which overflow family/teens would consider their own private space. The Master bedroom was cozy and the bed was quite comfortable. Plenty of closet and dresser space, along with a sliding door out onto the screened porch. Tracey's kitchen is amazing, and she has thought of every little detail for those of us who love to cook!!! Very comfortable and well-equipped kitchen. The spacious and well-furnished screened porch out back overlooks their tranquil pond, the fire-pit area with comfortable seating, and the beautiful running creek....you can hear the sounds of the rushing waters either outside or if you have windows open. Relaxing!!! We were visited by 3 very friendly neighborhood dogs about every other afternoon/evening at the fire pit (hmmm....wonder if the hot dogs and s'mores had anything to do with that?). They would drink out of the pond and just lay down and snooze next to us, when they were not chasing critters in the woods. Fun to watch! We used the large open meadow for Archery target practice, and we hiked the local road and creek bed. I read 2 books cover to cover in the comfy recliner with a cup of hot tea at my side (my idea of total relaxation)! We did not at all miss the lack of cell phone service....we gave our family the land-line number in the event of emergency, and didn't think about it after that. You can get cell phone coverage in town if you must? Ingles Market was a find too! In closing.....what a relaxing experience!!!!"
