  • What a wonderful experience!

"First, the owner is a true gem. The property is spectacular! We sat on the porch and watched the moon come up every night--and we didn't want to leave. The neighborhood is great for walking. The Elf School is huge--and ever so comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are very nice and comfortable. We have stayed there two years in a row--and loved every single minute of it. It is simply a fantastic place to stay!"

  • Beautiful Mountain Cabin + Hot Tub

"This cabin has an awesome hot tub. If it were nothing more than a hot tub on top of a mountain that alone would be enough reason for you to spend your vacation here. But it is so much more than that. The cabin is super cozy and much of it is handmade. You can see this handiwork in the railings, walls, and other cabin features. It has large windows that let in a lot of natural light and really connect you with the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. It has a loft, beautiful wood flooring, and a porch perfect for immersing yourself in the sounds of remote mountain bliss. The cabin is in a clearing and at night you can sit on the deck, look up at the sky and see millions of stars. It has a fire pit so you can cook food, roast marshmallows, tell stories, and do other fire pit related activities. It is fantastic. In fact, I am kind of wondering why I'm not still there. If it were possible to give this place 10 stars, I would give it 11. I would recommend if to families, couples, singles, platonic friends, professionals, amateurs, and anyone who enjoys all the gorgeous mountain scenery North Carolina has to offer. Also, the owners of this place are some of the most gracious, kind-hearted, welcoming people you will ever meet. You can stop looking your next vacation getaway, you found it."

  • Couples Getway

"My wife and I invited our two closest friends for a quiet weekend in the Smokey Mountains. We really enjoyed the drive up from ATL. The leaves were amazing and the drive through Helen always a treat. After arriving and unpacking the car, we drove over to Chevelle's for a good dinner, we all enjoyed it. We enjoyed a fire down by the river that night as well. The next day we explored the area and ended back at the cabin for some football and pool. Mike and I had a great time shooting pool. We even had a couples tournament. The mornings are awesome, enjoying coffee on the screened in deck, listening to the river flow over the rocks. If you want a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to go."

  • Another fantastic Labor Day on the river!

"It's a good thing I don't live here, I would never accomplish anything, but floating on the river. Our two families had the best time! Everything was perfect. Thanks so much Linda!"
