  • Beautiful, comfortable, all around perfect

"Online photos are great, but doesn't show spaciousness, comfort...fun weekend for 8 adults: cooking/grilling, porch/deck/swing time, hiking, Lake Chatuge pontoon rental close by...Quiet, lovely views, comfortable and plentiful furnishings, unbelievably clean and with more than enough towels and linens, dishes and cookware, games and gathering places. Easy directions/parking. Hope to return soon, if only to deal with nice owner!"

  • Thanksgiving at the Behr Paw Lodge was fantastic!

"This was the perfect place to have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in the mountains. The home is very comfortable, quiet and with all amenities provided for a carefree vacation. The home has many large windows throughout that provide great views of the mountain range and valley below. We enjoyed gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunsets on the front porch. The location is close to Murphy and Brasstown where we shopped the local shops. We also were close enough to visit the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest for a day hike returning to a relaxing evening around the fire pit. The wood burning stove also kept us warm and cozy. We definitely recommend staying here and hope to return for a future visit."

  • Beautiful house, nice lake

"We took Ann and Barry's house for a week in July and August. The house is beautiful, fully air conditioned. The lake is delightful, great for swimming, not too warm, not too cold. Going out in the canoe was a real treat. We were there for a family reunion, and most of the gathering was in my brother's house, which is nearby, but this house could have hosted the whole bunch with no problem. We ended up with only six people sleeping at the house, but we could have had quite a few more with no problem. As an indication of the service provided, the golf cart stopped working (Happily, at the house). Things like that can happen. I called Ann and Barry about it, and within hours he had come and the golf cart was fixed, before we had even missed the use of it. As some have mentioned, the house is a lake front property, but it is on a hill, and there are steps down to the lake, or you can drive the golf cart down if you prefer. It seems every house in the area has a golf cart for the same reason. The house is not give-away cheap, but compared to four bedrooms in a motel in the area, and adding in the conveniences of a kitchen, boat dock, recreation room, and everything, I figure it's a good deal. I would recommend the house, at the risk of it being already taken the next time I would like to use it."

  • Carr's

"We had a great time. We enjoyed the area by going to Helen, checking out some wineries and also whitewater rafting. We wish we had a couple extra days to just do nothing and sit at the cabin and enjoy that more. Very nice place and great location right on the creek."
