"We loved it here! Owners are very pleasant to work with. I really liked sitting on the screened porch listening to the rushing water in the creek. My granddaughter enjoyed fishing in the pond. Lots of games, puzzles in the cabin which we took advantage of in the evenings. Also loved exploring the small, quaint little towns nearby. Our only problem was our time spent here was way too short!! We can't wait to make plans for another trip here!"

  • Beautiful Home with Unreal Views.

"Mark and Joan were very easy to communicate with and informative during our stay. They stayed in touch throughout our stay while a repairman installed a dishwasher that had been repaired. The drive to the home is fairly steep, but well worth it. The home sits atop a mountain with one other home that you can barely see from this home. It was so quiet up there and you rarely heard traffic from down below. The views were so gorgeous and Mark and Joan thought of everything to make this home so cozy. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals in, even though we used the charcoal grill most of the time. The fire pit was a nice added touch to sit around in the evening and at night. This home is close to a very nice Ingles. This is a good starting point for any local sight seeing however, we enjoyed sitting on the back porch so much that we rarely left the home except for quick errands. It seems we got there when the Japanese hornet hive was at its largest and we did have to be careful of them getting inside the home since they are attracted to lights at night so we just kept the indoor lights to a minimum while we were outside. This isn't something that the homeowner could do anything about since you are surrounded by woods and we never saw a nest anywhere close by. The star gazing is beautiful from this home. Would love to visit this home again in the future."

  • Beautiful Mountain Cabin + Hot Tub

"This cabin has an awesome hot tub. If it were nothing more than a hot tub on top of a mountain that alone would be enough reason for you to spend your vacation here. But it is so much more than that. The cabin is super cozy and much of it is handmade. You can see this handiwork in the railings, walls, and other cabin features. It has large windows that let in a lot of natural light and really connect you with the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. It has a loft, beautiful wood flooring, and a porch perfect for immersing yourself in the sounds of remote mountain bliss. The cabin is in a clearing and at night you can sit on the deck, look up at the sky and see millions of stars. It has a fire pit so you can cook food, roast marshmallows, tell stories, and do other fire pit related activities. It is fantastic. In fact, I am kind of wondering why I'm not still there. If it were possible to give this place 10 stars, I would give it 11. I would recommend if to families, couples, singles, platonic friends, professionals, amateurs, and anyone who enjoys all the gorgeous mountain scenery North Carolina has to offer. Also, the owners of this place are some of the most gracious, kind-hearted, welcoming people you will ever meet. You can stop looking your next vacation getaway, you found it."
