  • Fabulous home in the mountains!!! Grab it if you can!!

"As soon as we set foot into this home we knew how wonderful our vacation week would be. The house is spotlessly clean with a brand new kitchen totally equipped for anything you may want or need. What more can you ask for? The view from the sliding doors to the balcony overlooks Lake Glenville with no obstruction. There is another closed balcony area with the same view to eat your meals or watch the rain on the Lake. A hummingbird feeder allowed us to watch the beautiful birds come and go during our stay. We ate dinner every night at home because we did not want to miss the amazing sunsets over the Lake from our balcony. Walking in the neighborhood gave us the exercise we needed up and down to the Lake. ( It got easier as the days went by). We loved the neighborhood of Tator Knob!! It is easy to reach the town of Cashiers which has many restaurants to choose from. We loved Ren Devu and Micas....great settings and dog friendly! You must get some local goat cheese from Cashiers Market along with their home made ice cream and wonderful pie assortments to enjoy while relaxing at home late in the evenings. We hiked White side mountain and walked around Lake Fairfield a few times... There are so many choices in the area for outdoor activity it is hard to choose. We loved Hickory House so much we are thinking about purchasing in the area, but until then, we hope to be back enjoying this wonderful home on Lake Glenville. Thank you to the owners who put so much thought and effort into making this the best vacation home!!"

  • Beautiful home, stunning location

"This home is everything as pictured in the photos, but even more beautiful in person. The location is absolutely stunning -- high up in the mountains with incredible views of the sunset. The screened in back porch is perfectly situated for watching television by the fireplace snuggled under blankets. The entire property is very well maintained, with plenty of extras provided, i.e. towels for the hot tub, coffee, Ziploc bags, even extra sodas and waters in the frig ... essentially the owners thought of everything. The house has reliable Wi-Fi, just be aware that in downtown Cashiers and Highlands, cell service was spotty for all except those with Verizon. We enjoyed staying at the house by the fireplaces (inside and outside). The kids loved the playhouse and the large yard within which to play. Although there was no snow, we went to Sapphire Ski Resort which was a greater starter place for the kids who had never skied before. Also fun for the littler kids to go snow tubing. We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. Thanks for a great visit and for sharing your home!"

  • Incredible Lake Glenview Home!

"We were in Lake Glenville for our son's wedding and had our family stay at this home for a week. It is located on the west side of Lake Glenville about a 20 minute drive into Cashiers. It is a gorgeous home with all the amenities you need and more. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had my 3 adult children, my in-laws and my husband and myself. The home is very well built and architecturally amazing! The view was great! Very relaxing! We rented a pontune boat from Signal Ridge Marina, which was so much fun. The house has a very good dock, which we boated to and picked up our passengers. We also tried out the canoe at the house. They have 2 kayaks which would be fun! Susan Caple, the owner has thought of everything for her guests. There are fishing poles and life jackets to use. Flashlights on the bed side tables. Books to read and plenty of brochures of things to do. The kitchen is big and any chef would be amazed. I highly recommend this home!"

  • Lovely stay on Lake Glenville!

"We had a wonderful week at the lake in this very spacious and well-equipped home. The location was great -- on the lake, but close to Cashiers. I stayed in the home with my husband, 3 kids (ages 9, 11 and 13) and my mother-in-law for a week in August 2016. The kids loved playing in the lake, and we all had a great time exploring in the kayaks that come with the house. There is a waterfall in the next cove over -- a quick 10 minute kayak trip! We also rented a pontoon boat from Signal Ridge Marina one afternoon and took the kids tubing. The house was actually larger than we expected -- there's a master bed in the loft upstairs, with a master bathroom. Two bedrooms with queens on the main level, and a bunk room in the basement. The steps down to the lake are quite steep -- the kids bounded up and down them many times, but they were a challenge for my 80 year old mother in law. We had a great week, and hope to go back again one day!"
