  • Great camp feel but no AC makes it not a "luxury" home.

"This is a great, big house but for the rental fee and "luxury" description one expects/assumes AC. Days get hot and very muggy on Lake Glenville in the summer. We had all the windows and doors open 24/7 and still it was hot and sticky, especially after cooking. But if you get into the "camp" vibe (spiders and all) you'll really enjoy this property and house. Like another reviewer, we did find it very dark inside. Inexplicably, many of the recessed lights have been covered over, including the two main foyer entrances, upstairs and down. Bedroom lighting is weak. It makes the house feel a little dingy when it absolutely isn't. It has super comfy leather sofas; a big 10-seat round dining table; great mix of antiques; wide lawn; great views; easy lake access and a spectacular "mudroom" off the lake entrance with many life vests for all ages. The sailboat, two kayaks and canoe make it a blast to be outside which is where you'll want to be. (Did I mention how hot it gets indoors?) The gas grill was great. But it would be nice to have a table outside for eating. It has very good quality bedding, plentiful thick towels, pretty (and clean) bathrooms and a very well stocked, clean kitchen (except it needs more forks). There is a wonky, aging fridge with a door that kept pulling open. It has very easy parking and access for multiple cars. The owner responded quickly to a slow sink drain, sending a handyman right away. Despite the few quirks and the lack of AC, we really loved the unpretentious beauty of Katie Camp. But with AC and a little better lighting, it would simply be the best rental on Lake Glenville. It's a very special lake home, for sure."

  • Fox Hollow

"After many years of searching for a vacation home in the mountains, our family has finally found the perfect place, Fox Hollow. The moment you pull into the driveway, you know you will not be disappointed with your stay. It is a beautiful home nestled in the woods overlooking a gorgeous lake. Inside the decor is tastefully done, giving the home a cozy feel. We loved having fires in the large stone fireplace as well as sitting on the outdoor porches. All the rooms had great views of the lake and the home was very clean. We will surely return again many times. Thanks again! The Milau Family"

  • Top Notch Cabin. Even better home owner.

"From start to finish Ted Masters was a class act. He personally ensured my family and I had everything we needed to have a fantastic vacation. There were 6 of us in our party and the cabin accommodated us wonderfully. The cabin has everything you need in the kitchen, the bedroom and the family room. Beautifully decorated cabin with vaulted ceilings. But outside is where you want to be with majestic views. And coming from San Diego, I forgot what stars should look like at night. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks again, Ted."

  • Ron & Colleen

"My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days at this lovely home at the end of October. Very private location in a secure gated community. The views of lake Glenville are incredible and the lake is very accessible as are the tennis courts. The home is professionally decorated and all accessories are first class. We have stayed at several other lake Glenville homes but this was definitely among the nicest. Enjoyed our stay and certainly look forward to our return. Highly recommended!"
