  • Nicely updated older home - very comfortable.

"Myself and two friends came to Asheville for the Brewgrass festival and a couple of days hiking. Our main priority was to be within walking distance of Downtown Asheville, this house is almost exactly one mile from downtown - a very do-able walk. The owner is very hospitable and gracious. She lives upstairs, but don't let that bother you, I am sure we kept her awake more than once laughing. She is a very enjoyable person to chat with as well. Georgia went out of her way to make sure we basics so we would not be rushed into running to the grocery store - what a wonderful, thoughtful idea! The house is nicely decorated, has great seating on the front porch and roomy enough for three guys. Thanks Georgia great stay!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Dancing Bears Cabin. Beautiful scenery! The grandchildren loved the playground. It was close to a lot of places and yet you were not right next to other cabins and that was one of the great things about it. We loved the front porch and my husband enjoyed rocking in the swing with the grandchildren."

  • Relaxing atmosphere, great views and close to lots of things to do!

"We just returned from a week in the cabin and was more than pleased with everything. The photos on the website are just what you see when you arrive. The cabin is comfortable, clean, well maintained and everything you needed was there and ready. Sunsets are outstanding and the mountain views couldn't be better from the back deck. The cabin is convenient to everything in the area. We visited Biltmore Estates in Ashville, took a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City, visited a few sites in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, spent time in Cherokee at the Cherokee Indian Museum and Village, did a little gem mining and spent time enjoying the river and area around the Nantahala Outdoor Center. There was more to do, but we also enjoyed spending quiet time at the cabin enjoying the views and nature around us. We even watched from the rear deck as both deer and lots of wild turkey strolled through the back yard. Some of the trees started changing color and we could see fall coming with the red, orange and yellow colors scattered throughout the mountains while we drove around. The only negative in our time there was that the weather was still warmer than we had hoped, which unfortunately was out of Dawn's and Bob's control or else I'm sure they would have sent us that cooler weather we wanted! Overall we had a great time in a very nice cabin and we can certainly recommend it to everyone."

  • Perfect Family Thanksgiving Retreat!

"This trip will be one of my fondest memories!!! Arriving through the gorgeous woods I knew it was going to be a treat!! Our college aged son arrived next, then our daughter and son-in-law from Charlotte. We played games, relaxed on the deck (lucked out with the nice weather!) and enjoyed a perfect Thanksgiving meal thanks to a well appointed kitchen. Drove in to Highlands to shop and saw two bears in the trees alongside the road, exciting!!! My two teenage boys left their video games unplugged and we all spent hours exploring the nearby creek and woods. I could have stayed forever (the king mattress was better than my own at home!!). We will most certainly be back!!"
