  • Amazing home for great vacation

"This home is in an amazing location with incredible mountain views. It is beautiful, fully furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked and the whole place has a nice homey feel. It is very clean and a great place for a rustic getaway or a central location for hiking and exploring nature on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountains State Park. I loved every minute of my time here!"

  • Beautiful Home; Private; Nature Abounds

"My husband and I just returned to the flat land of SW Florida from our 8-night stay at Orion’s Crossing. I searched the Internet for at least 20 hours before coming across this vacation rental. Needless to say, I was rather particular about choosing a place. We expected the home to be fabulous from the pictures and reviews, but stepping into the front door took my breath away. It was so much more than we hoped for: immaculate, spacious, charming, cozy, beautiful furnishings, and completely private. The drives up and down the mountainside were easier the second time, I must admit. By the third time, though, we felt like old pros. Although there is enough space for many guests, we felt that the home was perfect for a relaxing, just-the-two-of-us, escape from reality. We never turned on any of the five TV sets, and that was heavenly. We spent countless hours on the deck in the very comfortable furniture listening to the breeze in the trees and bird songs, the only sounds we heard. We enjoyed every meal out on the deck. The view of the mountains is even better than the website pictures it; I believe some trees were cut back to give more sight of the surrounding mountains. No other homes or roads are visible. One early evening, a passing shower left us a rainbow that seemed less than 25 yards away, almost touchable. We caught site of a huge woodchuck that actually chucked wood for our listening pleasure one afternoon. If you love nature, this is the place to be. Customer service from the owners was superb. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer than 8 nights. Orion’s Crossing is perfect. Cindy and David, Naples FL"

  • Awesome house!!

"This house was everything we could have wanted and more! It was easily accessible for my handicapped mother and great for 18 month old twins. The downstairs rooms easily accommodated 2 adults and a pack-n-play each. The upstairs was more space than any one could ask for. We were able to have a blow-up mattress for one of our wild sleepers! I cooked every morning and 2 dinners with the amenities available in the kitchen. We look forward to booking again!!"

  • Our Return Visit Was As Good As Our First! Amazing Cabin With Great Hosts!

"It took us 4 years (only because of scheduling) but we made our promised 2nd return to this beautiful little cabin. It felt like coming home. First let me say again that working with the owners, Debbie and Dave , is a pleasure. They take genuine concern in your comfort level and make the renting process easy! As soon as we walked in the front door, we felt right at home. Subtle changes were noticed, but the overall feel of the cabin flooded us with the great memories we had from the previous stay. Knowing exactly what we were getting gave us a very high level of comfort. The cabin was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you expect from cooking/baking utensils to things you might not expect like a tool kit and first aid kit - It is those little things that make a difference! As the photos show, the cabin is secluded and offers an amazing view of the mountain vistas and the valley down below. But pictures do not do justice. The outside area is perfectly landscaped and the multi-level deck space is peaceful and inviting. There is a small waterfall just behind the cabin that is music to the ears. We only used the king bed and it is so comfortable there were days we didn't want to get up - and on the rainy Friday, that was home for most of the day! From the zoning of the heating/cooling units to the couch and chair, it's all about the comforts like home. The cable offers most of the channels you are accustomed to. The WiFi internet was fast and reliable. We have Sprint cell phones and they worked flawlessly! I was averaging 12 Mbps download on my cell when I forgot to connect to the WiFi We brought our motorcycle and Dave and Debbie were kind enough to erect a canopy with a light to keep the bike nice and dry - Again, it is the little things like this that make a difference! We love riding in the mountains and the location of the cabin is perfect for us. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 30 minutes away and the Tail Of The Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Moonshine 28 are about 1.5 hours away. Our favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway! The area offers some very good places to eat, all within 15 minutes of the cabin. We liked Rendezvous (Amazing fried chicken) Snappy's Italian Restaurant for pizza and thanks to Dave and Debbie for the tip about The Blue Rooster - Amazing Southern food!! We also ate at a few other places in Maggie Valley and must say we didn't have a bad meal at any of them. We can't wait to return!"
