  • Amazing

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything you would need and more. Our family of 6 loved this home and everything it had to offer! We spent Thanksgiving in this cabin and even had everything we needed to make our big feast! Skiing 2 miles up the mountain. Beautiful views. The first drive up was a bit intimidating as it is pretty steep but we got used to it quickly. We will definitely be back next year!"

  • Peaceful and quiet

"My husband and I and our 2 dogs enjoyed a week at Beary Creek. Its a very peaceful place. Our dogs loved the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. And the acorns!! Every time an acorn fell on the roof or the deck our dogs would growl. We had a great time exploring all the areas in and around Maggie Valley. We did get cool temps but only one day did we have to cut the heater on in the house. We left the sliding glass door in the living room open most of the time we were there and enjoyed the fresh air. Loved the porch and the railings were perfect with their gates so our dogs could enjoy the outdoor air too. Highly recommend this cabin and hope we can make another trip there again."

  • Great stay but needs improvement!

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Bearfoot Creek, as well as the area. The house appears brand new and everything is in working order. At the same time, we did find a number of things that we felt were either falsely advertised or just not mentioned in the ad. We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children, the house ad claims there is ample sleeping for up to 9 people, that is simply not true. Both sleeper sofas upstairs were practically unusable as the mattresses were so worn down and basically hung through the frame. Also, the kids feet were up in the air, while their heads were down in a hole. We tried the mattress on the floor without the frame but even that was not possible since it was so thin and worn. Ultimately the kids all slept in the bed downstairs with one of the adults. The sleeper sofa in the upstairs bedroom was the same story. If the house is advertised to utilize those to sleep on, they need to be updated, otherwise the house comfortably accommodates 4 people, not 9. In addition, there were not enough blankets and we were there during the winter, thankfully one of our parties had brought their own blankets and even with that, we barely had enough. Towels was the same story. As far as the house itself, the pictures online were definitely false, in fact so false that we did not recognize the place at first. In the pictures it looks as though the house sits on a large piece of land with two creeks and lots of place to run around and play. That is simply not the case. There is actually hardly any property to play on, as the house occupies most of the piece of land. There is one creek right next to the house but you can't really get to it as the banks are steep, the other creek is across a street with steady and fast traffic. Thankfully our children are old enough to know not to just run out there, but with smaller kids, I am not sure this would be a safe place. Lastly the garbage situation was really not acceptable. We did not know until we got there that we had to drive the stinky garbage in our car to the next town to get rid off. While I am ok with there not being a receptacle right by the house, within walking distance would have been acceptable but not having to drive the trash. Neither of us was there with a pick up truck so we had to transport the garbage inside the vehicle."
