  • Amazing views!

"We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful cabin at the peak of fall. The views were outstanding, and the colors incredible. The house was cozy and inviting, and the porch outside was wonderful. We had a small problem and needed to change the dates at the last minute, and Kathy was wonderful to work with. This was by far one of the most beautiful, and relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. We are so happy to have found this beautiful gem!"

  • Maggie Valley at its best

"This was our first trip to the Blue Ridge side of the Appalachian mtn range and Maggie Valley with the previous two times in the Smokys and Pigeon Forge area. Glad we came! We came for the view, new places to seek out and the possibility to see some wild life near the cabin as described by the owner. We were not disappointed. As others have said the view from the cabin was amazing and one of the qualities I look for when choosing a place to stay. From here we made day trips to Asheville, Waynesville, and Cherokee to explore each area where we found new places to explore, foods to experience and a sovereign nation. Within a short drive, like just up the road, we were able to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, enjoy the many the overlook areas and see the Soko Falls mentioned in the description. As for the wildlife we didn't have to wait long. The morning after we arrived the kids left for a trip to Asheville but had to stop for several Elk who were making their way down the driveway Then a few days later a pair of female Elk and their two calves came right under the deck and made there way over to the fire pit spending a long time eating along the way. And the last day while leaving a whole herd came by, almost like saying good-bye. This was a great choice for us and will return if ever in the area again. The cabin very comfy and plenty of room for our 3 families which included 6 adults, 2 teenagers and a small dog. We were able to enjoy the fire-pit just outside the cabin, pool table and play plenty of board games we brought with us on the large dinning table. They had other games including a ping pong table available but we didn't use them including or the grill outside. The homeowners were easy to work with and helpful in getting the hot tub up and working upon our arrival. The only problem we had was keeping a continuous wifi connection with our phones. There were times when you would have to go into the master bedroom where the router was to get a good connection. But, we were here for the beauty of the mountains! Thank you, Shelda, for a wonderful vacation!"

  • Comfortable and spacious house, but it really doesn't accomodate 14 comfortably

"We enjoyed the house but in my opinion it is a stretch to say that it sleeps 14. There are beds for 10, 2 futons and two sofas in the main living room. There was also a rollaway bed that kept collapsing. So, I can see how they claim to sleep 14. The futons are slightly better than the floor and the sofas are a little better than the futons. Many enjoyed the hot tub - that seemed to be a hit. TV in the main room was great. There were other TVs but I don't think we tried them. Wi-fi was about useless - we couldn't do much with it. There were towels for 8 and we called the management company about that. Someone came the next day and gave us more towels. The kitchen has a lot of stuff and we did well except we couldn't find 14 cereal/soup bowls. Since we came with plastic ware other than bowls we don't know if there were 14 of other service items. We had trouble finding the linens for the 4 sleeping things beyond the 10 beds but ultimately found them in a basket in one of the closets. Which brings up another concern, there were no instructions in the house other than directions to Wal-Mart, etc. and instructions to turn thermostats down to 55 when we left. Typically you find a list of things to do and not to do. Urban style garbage cans were no problem for animals so we had to clean up the debris from them searching the trash. Clothes washer and dryer worked. Interestingly, the 8 that got towels the first night were stripped of them the next morning and they were washed for redistribution. Fortunately we got towels that day."

  • Great family vacation

"The cabin was awesome! The drive up and down the mountain was slightly scary but it made the trip an adventure! Great accommodations, loved the heated floors in the bathroom!!"
