  • Impressed!

"Wow, what a view! The cabin is huge, super clean, the property manager was super helpful and super nice! We loved our stay there. It is a perfect place to recharge and relax. There was no internet connection, and we loved it. It was a good break from a hectic city life. As somebody mentioned in the previous review, there a lot of well thought details ( hand soap, detergent, wine glasses, paper towel etc.). We didn't expect it and brought it all with us and we're surprised when we saw all of those little things in the house. Thank you! It was a great getaway!"

  • DGUZZY, PORT ST. LUCIE, FL.

"This was our second visit to this beautiful cabin and it felt wonderful remembering the great moments we had the first time around and experiencing new ones. Although we had some rainy days, the area was just as beautiful as we remembered. My wife and I enjoyed the much needed peace and tranquility that we were seeking. On this trip we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary along with our little dog Mimi. She too had a great time running around and playing in the open field and rolling over the piles of fallen leaves. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking either adventure, romance or just a peaceful getaway. The owner is a great, friendly and an outgoing human being. Thank you Bobbi for sharing your amazing mountain cabin with us and making all this beautiful memories possible."

  • Great Place

"This was our second stay at Mountain Serenity, but won't be our last. We stay there when we are taking classes at the J. C. Campbell Folk School. The house is well maintained and in a beautiful location. The owners are great to work with."

  • Absolutely spectacular!

"This guest cottage on the Hiawassi River was better than I dreamed it could be! The place was immaculate and beautifully furnished! Even though it indicates one bedroom--there is a loft with a queen size bed for company. All state of the art appliances in the kitchen and everything you could possibly need for cooking. Towels and sheets are supplied as well and were laundered every week (I was there a month) They bought a brand new gas grill while I was there and it is on the deck which is so convenient! The deck was so nice--I would have coffee and sometimes breakfast out there and then in the afternoons a glass of wine while I caught up on reading. I loved walking down to the river after the dam was released in the early evening and watch the water rapids. The house is located right between Murphy and Hayesville I took a day trip to Bryson City and Blue Ridge another day The owners gave great directions I needed to have my dog seen and they recommended their vet (who was nice and infinitely more reasonable than mine at home!) Peggy and Lyndell were great hosts. The location is perfect and once I felt comfortable with the mountain roads I was able to venture out to wineries, the John Campbell Folk School, Fire Creek Park and other places recommended Hayesville has free concerts on Friday nights during the summer and the bands were terrific. . I really liked having the owners on site since I was by myself with my dog- I had been kayaking and my blood sugar bottomed out. fortunately Peggy was there and got me some sweet lemonade and let me sit on their screened porch till I felt better. I would HIGHLY recommend this Guest House and I can't say that enough! I am already planning on returning next summer!"
