"We stayed during the week of Christmas and were impressed with everything. The location is perfect, close to everything you may need (i.e. WalMart) and yet far enough away to not be bothered by anything! The sounds from the creek at the bottom of the hill elevated the tranquil atmosphere. Our (2) young sons enjoyed walking across the bridge to the small island. They said this was "nature at its' best!" We spent our lazy afternoons out on the porch/balcony playing cards/games and enjoyed the warmth from the fireplace. The house is fully stocked with essentials and then some. The manager, Kathy, is helpful beyond words. The owner and manager made themselves completely accessible and were eager to assist with any requests (we needed baking sheets to make cookies for Santa and they were on the counter when we arrived)! The home is spacious. The grounds plentiful and beautiful. We look forward to returning one day!"

  • Rain didn't ruin our stay!!!

"CiCi was extremely accommodating! We overlooked the line in her email that stated how to get in. When we arrived we called her and she was at the house within minutes to help. The cabin was beautiful and clean! There were plenty of dishes to make meals at the cabin. We BBQ one day and the gas grill work flawlessly. We had our 9 m/o and 2.5 y/o boys. They had a great time exploring inside and outside. There is a nice big yard for them to play. Just be careful to watch the little ones near the creeks. Unfortunately it was a little chilly and rainy for creek. Weaverville is a nice quiet town with everything you'd need without having to go to Asheville if you don't want to. Asheville was a short 15-20minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 4 mile drive. I did morning bike rides up ox creek (try and stay off reems creek) to the BRP and from there you can do a 24 mile loop to town or just cruise on the parkway. There was plenty of climbing and scenery to keep anyone happy. Overall from a cyclist and dads point of view I wouldn't have changed a thing. We had a great time. Thanks CiCi!!!!"

  • I'll be back next summer!

"Bucolic area; very peaceful (except for an occasional barking dog). Ten-twelve-minutes to downtown. Ingles market is 6-7 minutes away and has a great deli, including its pimiento-cheese spread, and everything else you might want. Cabin is fully and beautifully furnished. Great, wraparound deck for viewing bunnies and an occasional Tom turkey from rocking chairs. Home to resident pair of cardinals. Good AC and heating. Two comfortable bedrooms, each with a double bed. Pull-out sofabed in great room, and futons upstairs. Comfortable for four if no beds shared. Two-car garage. Owner lives nearby and takes care of any problems, if any, arise. A+!"

  • Amazing Cabin with Breathtaking Views!!

"My family held our Christmas gathering at The Eagles Nest last weekend and were all in awe of this beautiful home! There was plenty of space for us to all spread out & the men all loved the pool & ping pong tables & dart board. The cabin is secluded & quiet, but we were still within minutes to beautiful downtown Waynesville & Cherokee. Sam was wonderful to work with & we are already planning our next trip back!"
