  • Very beautiful

"If you want quiet, isolation (there are only a few cabins in the development which is under development) (probably a great buy if you want to build yourself) and beautiful grounds, this is your place. The directions were a bit confusing at first -- better to say .8 miles after gate, then left (more of a turn than bearing) then another .8 to the Cabin bearing left at the Y. Having the DAX signs eliminated confusion. We also didn't realize the third bedroom was a lovely little cabin to the side, just 30 feet away. I would go back in a heartbeat, and use the third bedroom for a guest (we didn't). It is like living at your own private resort (there is a pavilion and acres of property land to walk on beside a stream) away from commercial TV (but it is stocked with maybe a hundred various dvd's), cell pones, internet. If you need anything from a store, Cashiers is 20 minutes away, a great little town with shops for everyone. This is a real gem."

  • Incredible Lake Glenview Home!

"We were in Lake Glenville for our son's wedding and had our family stay at this home for a week. It is located on the west side of Lake Glenville about a 20 minute drive into Cashiers. It is a gorgeous home with all the amenities you need and more. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had my 3 adult children, my in-laws and my husband and myself. The home is very well built and architecturally amazing! The view was great! Very relaxing! We rented a pontune boat from Signal Ridge Marina, which was so much fun. The house has a very good dock, which we boated to and picked up our passengers. We also tried out the canoe at the house. They have 2 kayaks which would be fun! Susan Caple, the owner has thought of everything for her guests. There are fishing poles and life jackets to use. Flashlights on the bed side tables. Books to read and plenty of brochures of things to do. The kitchen is big and any chef would be amazed. I highly recommend this home!"

  • Perfect cottage surrounded by hills but close to town!

"If you want the best of both worlds in Highlands, this little cottage is perfect -- quiet and away from it all, but also close to the fun and activity of Highlands. With one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, the home feels spacious and at the same time cozy. The back porch is nestled amid towering rhododendrum, and a beautiful creek weaves across the back yard. For our week's stay, I don't think we heard a car go by a single time. I loved the experience of just getting there -- putting my car in low gear and climbing up the winding Stoney Creek Road to the front door. This is a "don't miss" home away from home if you want a full Highlands experience."
