  • Perfect Fall Mountain Getaway!

"My husband and I stayed here for the weekend to see the fall colors and to enjoy the mountains. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location or a more perfect place to stay! The apartment was clean and tidy. The farm was gorgeous and we loved all the animals, especially Cricket the little donkey! :) We stayed busy hiking the waterfalls in DuPont, picking apples at Sky Top Orchard (highly recommend the apple cider donuts!), hiking Graveyard Fields up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and exploring the quaint towns of Hendersonville and Brevard. Ken and Kim were so nice and have created the perfect mountain getaway."

  • Quaint & Cozy!

"We arrived in the darkness of the night and were greeted by the owner Mrs. Whitaker. She invited us in to her Quaint, Cozy, Beautiful little cabin and showed us around. She showed us the wood she had made available to us for the stone fireplace, where to put the used ashes from the fireplace, she gave us the instructions of where the garbage goes...etc..... she was very detail oriented, gave us information for the surrounding hikes (she also had many informative books on specific hikes and waterfalls). The cabin was decorated beautifully, kitchen was stocked with all the necessities, the beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean! After a day of hiking to waterfalls we relaxed on the soft, comfortable couch, listening to the crackling sound of the fire, while sipping on our delicious Bourbon Barrel Aged Beers we got from Oskar Blues Brewery (located not to far away from the cabin.) Thank you Mrs. Whitaker for providing such a comfortable, beautiful & relaxing oasis!"

  • Beautiful view of pond and horses.

"Pros: Cabin was great. Close to great sightseeing spots! Upon arrival we were greeted by the white horse, he came up sniffing the car, checking us out!!! So cute! They are beautiful and friendly horses- got lots of pictures of them so if you need any pictures of your horses- let me know !! HA!! Sitting on the porch in the mornings was very peaceful. Not as cool as we would have liked it- 80's day, 58-59 nights, but was sunny and great weather otherwise. The owner drove by and said hello- would have like to have met her, but she gave us the privacy- all is good. Arrived Sunday and left on Wed. so we missed the festivals and all but still found plenty to do! Highly recommended! Cons: Stairs to second floor a little steep, but doable for younger (in shape) folks!! Suggestion of hanging a hook on the narrow wall next to shower upstairs for towels while showering would be helpful. And the LADYBUGS- never seen so many.. dead and alive. There were tons of them, we swept before we left, cleaned window sills up stairs.... guess ladybugs over roaches any day, but wow. Lady bugs are good luck, friend said she was going to by a lottery ticket! Other then that was a very pleasant visit. Thanks again!"
