  • Perfect Mountain Retreat

"Sandra is a tremendous hostess. She agreed to let me rent for an extended stay as I took in the local sites and looked for a home in the area. My wife and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin and our daily walks in the woods. Sandra has trail maps for the areas surrounding the cabin. She also recommended places to eat in Brevard which is only a short, 15 min drive away. If you like Yoga, Brevard Yoga has walk-in classes. We made excursions to Pisgah, DuPont and Lake Toxaway taking in several falls that were an easy hike from the designated parking lots. For those wanting to experience all this area has to offer, this cabin is centrally located and has all the necessary conveniences of WiFi, Direct TV, and fully equipped Kitchen. You will not be disappointed !!"

  • Lovely!

"Kim and Ken are such nice folks. Nice unit, great full kitchen, pristine! The cleanest rental I have ever seen! Beautiful farm property with lots of animals, just a few minutes outside of Brevard. I will definitely be staying here again!"

  • Fabulous Time!

"We rented the cabin for two weeks in November and had the best time. The cabin is such a great size for two or eight. The Kitchen is such a great size and it's fun to cook overlooking the mountains. We loved sitting on the huge deck! Also we had a fire almost every day which was so special. The Pisqah National Forest and DuPont State Park are so close and there are lots of great hiking opportunities. We really enjoyed the town of Brevard with its cute shops and bakery. So much fun to sit outside at Oscar Blues Brewery too! We had so much fun we are going again two times next year. Thanks to Lisa, the owner, and Brad, the property manager."

  • No Room for Improvement

"What an incredibly delightful place! The very private location makes guests feel like they are living alone on that beautiful mountain. And yet, less than 3 miles down the mountain you are back to civilization. The furnishings are tastefully unique, with a rustic touch and gorgeous antiques. Being there was like staying at the home of a friend who was temporarily away. Our two grandchildren loved the Moonshine Shack and we all loved the serenity and view from the deck. With nearby Sliding Rock and amazing hiking trails, there is so much to do--if that's what you like. We grandparents spent our time on the covered deck in the very comfortable furniture, reading and doing needlework, while our elderly dog slept at our feet. How could it be better? P.S. The excellent and accurate photos cannot capture the warm atmosphere and beauty of the place. We plan to return next summer."
