  • A Piece of Paradise!

"My husband and I enjoyed so much our twelve night stay at Yellow Creek! There is absolutely nothing I can complain about. The setting is so beautiful and the the cabin was so clean and decorated beautifully! I was worried due to the drought the creek would not be flowing, but it was and we loved sitting by the creek with a fire, or on the porch listening to the creek. Payton and Laura were always so friendly and helpful throughout the whole rental process. My husband enjoyed trout fishing nearby in the Cheoah River, we visited many antique shops in western NC and enjoyed dining at Tapoco Lodge restaurant by the river. Oh, and be sure and visit Yellow Creek Falls! It was awesome! Thank you again Payton and Laura for your kindness and we will definitely be back!"

  • Peace & Tranquility Abound

"We are back home & wanted to take a minute to thank you for sharing Jimbo's Farm with us. The property is heaven. It's so serene and relaxing. A place we have each dreamed of but we never seem to find. We fed the fish every morning & evening. Lola, our Lab just loved going down to the pond and watching the fish come up to feed. She especially loved walking the pond shallows and "trying" to catch the smallest fish. The blue heron came around each day, catching frogs for dinner. We enjoyed fishing off the deck and relaxing with Lola by our side. She worked & played so hard all week. She was exhausted at days end from being a real dog. We picnicked each day by the pond, relaxing in the sun and shade as the day wore on. We bbq'd each night then relaxed on the front porch as the day ended. We brought a blanket with us for star gazing, relaxed under the stars and found life in the clouds. I loved the L/R fire place/stove. So rustic & real. We lit a fire every night, relaxing & chatting late into the night. The master fireplace was romantic & did provide warmth. We now have so many gorgeous pictures to show & share, and one or two I will enlarge & frame to remind us of the beauty we will be missing. I really hope you make time yourself to enjoy this captivating piece of heaven Jim. We all get so wrapped up in life we forget to breath. Don't forget to make time to go back home to clear your head and enjoy the tranquility you share. Hope to return soon."

  • Wonderful Family Weekend

"My wife and I found this cabin and thought it would work for our children and grandchildren when we took the whole family on the Polar Express in Bryson City. We had 6 adults, a six year old and a two year old Friday and Saturday night. We were a little concerned about the distance from Stecoah to Bryson City, but with the exception of the private roads to the cabin, we enjoyed good two and four lane roads right to Bryson City. We enjoyed an excursion to Dillsboro on the way in and Friday and Saturday there were trips to Fontana Village, The Tail of the Dragon and to get the six year old across the "Purple Line" (Tennessee). We saw no fire or damage in our travels and the views of Fontana Lake from the cabin were spectacular. We had plenty of room to spread out and give everyone some space when they wanted it and the common areas are perfect for a large family. We are making plans for another time in this great cabin."

  • Fabulous home in the perfect location!

"This is a very special home on a very special lake in a very special lakeside community. With a terrific location on a wide section of the lake, the home has a truly commanding view of the lake and opposite shoreline. Its southern exposure means a beautiful lakeside sunrise to the home’s left, a beautiful lakeside sunset to the home’s right, and a gentle sunlight all day that makes the home’s beautiful interior wood glow golden. The community is the charming Town of Lake Santeetlah ( , with winding perimeter and upper roads of a single lane and little traffic, perfect for leisurely walking. We met numerous residents on our walks around the community and enjoyed many a warm and friendly conversation. We are two couples who live in lakeside homes ourselves and expect much from a lake. Lake Santeetlah met our highest expectations. We believe this home is priced very attractively and represents an exceedingly good value. We could not recommend this home more highly to anyone looking for elegant lakeside living, either as a couple or couple of couples, or as a family with many adventurous children in tow. Certainly, our experience was a very good one, and we plan to be back."
