"We were pleasantly surprised by the property once we were inside. Keep in mind it is an old lake home, almost 100 years old and if you have issues with stairs you may not want to rent this lake home. We had 4 adults over 50, 4 young adults in their 20's, and 4 little dogs. The beds are so comfortable, the house is very tidy and clean, well equipped for cooking which we did almost every day, as well as barbequing outside. We enjoyed the hot tub and chimenea, on the big front porch. We enjoyed eating outside at the big farm table with lots of candles and comfortable outdoor lighting. Our daughter and her 2 girlfriends slept comfortably in the boat house and we enjoyed the first 3 days hanging out on the upper deck of the boat house as well as using the kayaks...awesome day jumping from the upper deck as well, beautiful lake...and amazing views. We also liked that the back yard is fully fenced for the long as you don't mind the woodsy conditions, and the boat house which is located directly across from the back of the house is also fenced with a small grassy area. We hiked small Bradley hiking trail which ends at a beautiful huge water fall, shopped in downtown Saluda, small and quaint little town (loved it) the barbeque restaurant is a great treat, and visited the Biltmore and downtown Asheville (very easy 40 min drive). Lots of TV's even on the outside upper deck, very cozy to hang out inside the open floor plan dining/living area. The Master bed is in the main upper part of the home and there are 2 bedrooms and a big bathroom on second floor that is a separate entrance on the lower deck, nice and private from upstairs living, and 2 very awesome single beds in the boat house. The owner Billy is very accommodating and easy going, great to deal with. We highly recommend this property for those of you who want a true old fashioned mountain experience with all the technology we are all accustomed to."

  • This home was even better than the pictures. Top quality!

"We have been going on spring break for 13 years and this house was by far the best. We could not believe how perfect the furnishings were. The Miller's went above and beyond. We cannot wait to stay here again! A+++"

  • Best Summer Lake Vacation our Family Has Ever Had!

"Our family of 5 enjoys watersports, running, hiking, and cool mountain temperatures so we loved our week at Lake Summit! We brought our boat and 2 kayaks and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful clear mountain lake. The cooler temperatures were a welcome relief from the midlands of South Carolina during this time of year. The house is very nicely updated and very quaint and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the grill works well. The gravel road around the lake is perfect for walking, running, or cycling. We spent some time hiking at Caesar's Head State Park which is only a short drive from Lake Summit. The views from the front porch of the house and the boathouse are beautiful and serene. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lake Summit and we hope to return next year!"
