  • Great Weekend

"We had a wonderful weekend in this adorable cabin. It was cozy for 4 people, but we didn't need much. It was a great way to escape the stresses of the outside world. The cabin's owner was extremely helpful. I find myself day-dreaming about this cabin and strolling around Lake Hosea. Would love to return soon!"

  • Peace and quiet!

"My family which included my wife, 4 and 5 year old sons along with mam mam had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for one night while visiting family nearby, definitely too short of a stay! The cabin has everything you need and is very clean, you feel right at home immediately. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want, the bed was comfortable and the outside sitting area is so peaceful to just sit and relax, it was a little cold during our stay but it was a nice break from the Florida warm weather and I was determined to sit outside and watch the leaves fall. When driving up to the home you feel like you are driving into the woods and you have total privacy. You probably want some type of truck or SUV, we had 4 wheel drive but did not need to use it but I imagine certain parts of the year you may need it but the road was maintained and we had no problem at all in a Chevrolet Tahoe. The fireplace was great that has a cozy futon in front of it where you can sit and relax. My son and I had a fun hike down to the lake and the exploring options are probably endless, unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to play around. About a 10 minute drive away is the little downtown area where the general/grocery store is that you can get just about anything you need, a lot of history...I think the store dates back to 1899. We were able to get everything we needed to make dinner, I think an Ingles grocery store is about 7 miles from town. There is a place called Wards grill next door that we ate breakfast at, it's a 50's style restaurant and the food was great. I noticed they had a A grade, 99 score on cleanliness from the state, can't get much better than that. For the money I don't think you can go wrong, it's nothing fancy but its so comfortable and you can tell the home has been loved and recently updated. Beth the owner was so accommodating, we are already scheduling a week long stay next year!"

  • Amazing view

"Great spot on the side of a mountain. Incredible view and sunrises. The deck looks down into the valley and is completely enclosed, which was ideal for our little kids. Close to ziplines, hiking, and fishing."

  • Beautiful home that has everything you need! Great Location

"As soon as we walked into this home it felt lake home. It has everything you need or want. The layout is perfect for a large group and the view is simply amazing. Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans and even large platters for the family meals. The owners of this property have decorated nicely and have thought of everything that the home needs to make your stay enjoyable. I can say...we plan on making this one of the homes we will be coming back to every few years!"
