  • Wonderful Property

"My extended family and I spent the first week in July at this property for my birthday get-together, and we had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen is nicely equipped. Since we prefer home-cooked meals to restaurant food, we prepared all of our meals, except for one, at the cabin. The large porch in the back is perfect for grilling and hanging out. The covered front porch was awesome for reading and relaxing. The owner was always responsive to our questions and great to work with. If you want to have some peace and quiet, away from traffic noise and a flurry of activity, this property is for you. There are a few golf courses and multiple hikes that are a short drive away, which is exactly what we were looking for. For those who want to stay connected there is WiFi. We were too relaxed to make much use of that..."

  • Wonderful setting & Comfortable Home

"Visited this home in Feb, 2016. Traveled with another family (9 in our party) - stayed here and skied at Sapphire Valley. This home is very, very comfortable and the setting is amazing. We all enjoyed the sounds and views of the river (even lighted at night). House is very conveniently located to central Sapphire Valley which made things easy for skiing and dinners, etc. Open kitchen/family room floor plan feels very spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable for our families. A winter visit was very nice - I can only imagine how nice a Spring or Summer visit would be if temps were warm enough to sit out and dine on the deck by the river. Would highly recommend this location."

  • For the price the property was great; new furnishings and great access to the lake.

"We loved this vacation. The property had two stories, which I hadn't realized from pics. Internet access didn't work for us but we were there to be outside so we didn't mind. It is a short walk down to a fun lake with a beach and boat/kayak rentals. Our kids--8 and 10--also really enjoyed the amenities. The "resort" isn't luxurious but for little kids, it was great. They loved the pool, the putt putt course, and the game room with ping pong, pool, air hockey, etc. There were even buckets of dirt and a sluice for "mining" you could buy and mine for gems. The access to amenities costs $2 per day for adults--under 14 are free. Lee was excellent to work with and was willing to let us come early and check out late. He responded immediately to all questions. We loved hiking and swimming in falls in Gorges Park (only 10+ minutes away)and enjoyed driving to other waterfalls in the area. I didn't give it five stars because no internet, some of the kitchen utensils/pots were dirty, and it wasn't completely amazing. However, the property obviously had been updated and it was great. We appreciated the two beds in the second bedroom so kids could have their own--beds were comfortable and the property actually looks nicer than it does in the pics. For the price it was excellent. We will be coming back to this area."

  • Fabulous view

"The house is beautiful with the best screened-in porch to enjoy the views. I loved the seclusion and convenience to many local stops. My only negative is the size of the indoor living space. If the weather hadn't been so wonderful the small living room could have been a concern. Overall, I would definitely recommend this house."
