  • Stunning view, quiet, great value

"We are staying here for two months while looking for a second home. The view is better than anticipated, especially at night. Very quiet area but yet so close to town. Well decorated and fully stocked with everything needed to be comfortable. Enjoyed the loft for afternoon reading in the sun and the mornings working in the office nook with a large desk and Wi Fi available throughout the home. Would even buy this home if it was available!"

  • Unique Property

"This was a great get-away! The "cottage" is beautiful, well equipped and very clean. The grandchildren (10 and 7) had a blast. They caught lots of fish and a large turtle. Really enjoyed the patio fire. The Chef's Table restaurant in Waynesville is VERY good. I wish I knew more about the history of the place. It's as if a development were envisioned, started and not finished. Which is actually nice because instead of a lot of houses, you have beautiful wide opened spaces."

  • Outstanding Mountain Home with Great Views. Felt we could stay forever!

"We stayed at Wind Spirit for an entire month (August). When you stay at someone else’s home for that long you get a terrific sense of what is good and bad about the house. That’s what so great about Wind Spirit – all we found was great! The view is fabulous, especially in the morning. The other important creature comforts are equally outstanding – beds, bathrooms, closets, showers, kitchen, sofas. The house is furnished in a way that no matter where you sit or lie, you feel like it is almost like your own home. The double master suite works really well for 2 couples. We didn’t use the bedrooms downstairs but it appears that it sets up well for a family with 2 kids or a slew of kids. Even though we felt like we were on top of a mountain, everything we needed for everyday living – groceries, restaurants, drug stores, golf, dog park – was just 20 minutes or less away. It is the perfect mountain getaway whether you plan to stay for a weekend, a week or a month."

  • Perfect Vacation Spot!

"My husband and I and our four good friends rented this cabin for our anniversary. We could not have had a better vacation! Mr. Dobson was very welcoming and provided the upmost hospitality. The farm was very peaceful and the cabin was very warm and welcoming and relaxing! The view is gorgeous and right outside of Maggie valley and a short distance from Waynesville. We also visited Cherokee while we were there which wasn't too far either. The two dogs Clyde and Polly stole a place in my heart and made the vacation even better. We caught our first trout in the pond and really enjoyed the fire pit. We are already planning to return next year for out anniversary! You can not go wrong with this place or owner for that matter! HIGHLY recommended! Stacey"
