"We spent the month of August in this beautiful home. It exceeded our expectations. Could not have been a better location. It is literally about 5 minutes to downtown, the Grove Park Inn, and interstate access. It is on a hill in a heavily wooded neighborhood and feels secluded and away from hustle and bustle, yet it is minutes away. The home is beautifully decorated. The pictures accurately represent the home. We enjoyed the views from the deck where we captured some spectacular sunsets. Barclay and Rick were wonderful hosts and were quick to respond to anything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with every type of pot, pan, gadget, tableware imaginable. We loved our time there and definitely will come back and recommend it to friends. Thank you, Rick and Barclay, for sharing your wonderful home. Can't wait to come back."

  • Family trip with girls (10 and 12) and dog was FANTASTIC!!!

"Could not have had a better time at the cabin - woods surrounding were great for hiking, ponds and creeks were the best for "unencumbered" exploring. Cabin itself was perfect for a family of four and pooch. Owner took care of a small issue (we accidentally turned off the water pump while searching for light switches!) immediately, and the place was totally outfitted for comfort and relaxation. The soaker tub was big enough for me to completely enjoy (6'2", so that's not normal). Rain day was awesome, as the creeks started raging. Make an appt with the Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery down below the cabin for a cool tour and some delicious cheese!!!"

  • Absolutely Winderful

"This is the perfect Cabin in the perfect location. We wanted seclusion but close to Asheville and were surprised with this town of Weaverville only 10 min from Asheville. This little town has a beautiful downtown with great places to eat and shop along with the Blue Ridge Parkway a very short drive away. The cabin is at a Winderful location on a side of a hill and you can take a walk to the creek which is wonderful. Very high end cabin that is very warming inside. Does not feel like a vacation rental because it's not. The owners , which are local and very involved in Asheville put a lot of work into their cabin. Great Job!"

  • Nice place for large groups

"This place was great for a reunion weekend with old college friends. Very spacious, good layout, well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the proximity to Black Mountain, a nice quaint town with good restaurants. The large kitchen table was very nice, but even better was the spacious and scenic screened in porch. I will say that we overlooked the detail about this cabin not having central a/c -- an important detail to consider if you're visiting in the summer months, but the whole house fan worked well and the shady location helped -- we spent most of our time on the screened in porch and found it very cool and pleasant out there throughout our stay. We'd stay here again!"
