  • Peaceful

"Just got home from a short trip to Asheville. First time to the area. It was a last minute trip. Jeff and Tim were very accommodating with this. The apartment is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need while staying at this mountainside retreat. This location was super quiet which provided a restful night's sleep. Often at a hotel you have other guests creating noise in the hallways...not here. My only recommendationn would be to add a curtain on the door to allow guests to close it at night. It would provide more of a sense of privacy while watching tv. Thanks for the snacks and beverages! We enjoyed the hospitality and personal touch during our visit."

  • A memorable first visit to Asheville!!!

"Cozy, Charming, Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, and Chic are some of the best adjectives I can think of to describe this wonderful home away from home! So happy we found this place because it was so close to all the sights we wanted to visit during our stay. This shabby chic beautiful two-story home with 3 baths was truly lovely to come home to everyday after a tiring day of sightseeing. We had a terrific time on our first visit to Asheville and know it won't be our last. Thanks, Diane, for making our stay a memorable one!"

  • Beyond Awesome Experience!

"Our family really needed a complete retreat and we found it in this beautiful home. Everything was perfect for our family. The horse-themed bedroom with 2 twin beds was something right out of a story book for our 2 girls=11 & 13 years old. Our 2 older boys (15 & 17) spent hours competing against each other on the variety of games in the basement. Our college-aged daughter was able to utilize the room on the main floor to find peaceful rest after studying for hours on the deck for an upcoming internship How you were these owners able to find the decorative bears & moose that filled this cabin? No detail was left unattended-from the paper towel bear-topper to those on the lamp shades and even the etchings on one of the windows—incredible! We recapped our experience in one of the journals we found (what a great idea-to have a journal) While we explored the surrounding area, even going out to Fire Creek Falls and then later to Joyce Kilmer, eventually viewing the lookouts on the Cherohala Skyway, nothing compared to the view at this home. We are Midwesterner/flat-landers and had no issues negotiating the slopes and angles of the roads and drive-ways getting to & fro from this beautiful property with our 15 passenger-extended van. While there is some 'steepness' with this part of the USA, it's completely drive-able. Overall, dealing with the owners is great. Stop looking anywhere else. Reserve here. Hot Tub. Grill, Decks, Fire Ring & Plenty of room for a diverse group of multiple ages=perfection."

  • Beautiful getaway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fern Hollow is perfectly nestled in the foothills of the mountains. Windows stayed slightly opened at night so as to hear the bubbling creek just outside in the front. Would definitely recommend this cabin to any couple seeking a nice romantic getaway from the realities of life. The only complaint we had was that the yard was littered with a variety of trash left by previous tenants which my wife and I cleaned before leaving."
