  • Rain didn't ruin our stay!!!

"CiCi was extremely accommodating! We overlooked the line in her email that stated how to get in. When we arrived we called her and she was at the house within minutes to help. The cabin was beautiful and clean! There were plenty of dishes to make meals at the cabin. We BBQ one day and the gas grill work flawlessly. We had our 9 m/o and 2.5 y/o boys. They had a great time exploring inside and outside. There is a nice big yard for them to play. Just be careful to watch the little ones near the creeks. Unfortunately it was a little chilly and rainy for creek. Weaverville is a nice quiet town with everything you'd need without having to go to Asheville if you don't want to. Asheville was a short 15-20minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 4 mile drive. I did morning bike rides up ox creek (try and stay off reems creek) to the BRP and from there you can do a 24 mile loop to town or just cruise on the parkway. There was plenty of climbing and scenery to keep anyone happy. Overall from a cyclist and dads point of view I wouldn't have changed a thing. We had a great time. Thanks CiCi!!!!"

  • Beautiful cabin with easy river access

"Our family was delighted to stay in this quiet, cozy cabin nestled near the French Broad river. The home is extremely clean and well-maintained, the scenery surrounding the cabin is beautiful, and the location is perfect for quick access to the river and hiking trails. Before our arrival, the owners provided detailed driving instructions and information about the area, which helped us have a very special trip! We most enjoyed tubing down the river (we bought tubes from Bluff Mountain Outfitters in Hot Springs), spending time together on the screened-in porch, and hiking to a lookout spot around Paint Rock. Great trip and wonderful cabin!"

  • 40th Honeymoon

"We just spent a terrific week at Narnia. It was all we had hoped for--- quiet, comfortable and relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the upper deck just watching the scenery change. We were treated to a rainbow over the mountains on our last evening there. Our favorite time was just before dawn listening to the birds and waiting for another beautiful sunrise. We also enjoyed exploring Murphy and Blairsville or just riding the nearby mountain roads. It was a great week! Thanks, Susie!"

  • Getaway

"We love the Highlands! We were looking for something where our grandkids could play in the yard and the rest of the family could go play as they wish. I watched the kids, the teenagers went canoeing in mirror lake and my son walked the dogs to the dog park. We went to an art show at the Bascom too. My grans loved the nature center. The house was perfect for us with plenty of parking and plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the kitchen with great appliances, sometimes that's hard to find in a rental in Highlands. My only complaint is that we wanted more time."
