  • We enjoyed our time here

"My husband and I stayed here for almost one month. We were on the go a lot and it was very easy coming and going from this property. It is well situated between Highlands and Cashiers. The place is nicely decorated. The kitchen is super well stocked for any type of cooking. I particularly liked the china, pretty autumn leaves. The bed linens are cotton sheen nice, high thread count sheets, however both my husband and agreed the two queen beds were too soft for us. We tried both. Just like all the other reviewers said, the neighbors are super nice and welcoming. They are a definite plus. I loved sitting out on the deck listening to the wind blowing through the trees and the stream far away. Sometimes we would enjoy happy hour with the neighbors. The Wifi worked good - we used it everyday, as we brought our laptop. The A/C worked good - sometimes we needed it, as some afternoons got hot. The owner is a quick communicator, very responsive. I always enjoyed coming home to the neighborhood and the home itself. Happy memories."

  • Ideal Home with all the Amentities

"If you are looking for a home with a great mountain / lake view, located within steps to the lake, with everything you could possibly need, then this is THE HOUSE! My husband and I rented this home for a week. We have four kids, from ages 6-16. We shared it with my sister and her family as well. There were 11 of us total, and we had no problem spreading out comfortably. We were also pleasingly surprised to how well the kitchen was stocked. They had lots of spices, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, even condiments! Also, if you happen to forget any blankets for when you get chili, no problem! There are more than enough blankets all over the house. There are binoculars for looking at the mountains, a PS4 for the kids, lots of books, games, and cable TV's. Not to mention, a very comfortable boat the kids will love with plenty of life jackets, but bring your tube! Beautiful new remodeled bathrooms, a multi game table downstairs, and two beautiful decks with lots of seating! Honestly, this house has everything you could possibly need! If I had to pick something to improve on, it would be to add another king size bed downstairs. I felt bad my sister and her husband only had a queen to sleep in for they are both over 6' tall. However, we loved the house and our vacation and have already booked it for next year!!! :)"

  • Can't wait to go back!

"We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The views are beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed! The kitchen is especially well-stocked...it had everything, and more! The hot tub on the deck overlooks the beautiful mountains, and unlike some other hot tubs at rentals, this one was very clean and well-maintained. We had the pleasure of watching a little ground hog outside the kitchen window each day. Cute little thing! We took our dog and she was very comfortable and enjoyed the cabin much as we did. The owner, Geoff, and the property management were super nice and very pleasant to do business with! We will definitely be back!"

  • Rustic luxury and relaxation!

"Because I'd love to keep this property a secret, I almost hate to leave an honest review. We have had an amazing two weeks--a reprieve from hectic schedules and concrete. The photos do not do the home's decor and superior construction justice. The light and views are amazing. This property has the best appointed kitchen we've ever used in 7+ rentals in Highlands. The rushing creek is amazing for exploration and for sonic ambiance. We loved hot tub soaks--especially for our daughter with juvenile arthritis. Our pup loved spending her holiday with us, and we appreciated having a dog friendly rental that was really nice. We can't wait to return next summer! A few logistical notes: It's about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Highlands which simply means we planned our outings carefully. The internet access is wonderful and fast, so we didn't miss having cable tv. Our kids watched dvds and I watched a couple of streaming films on Netflix. Bring a lightning cord or hd cord, and you can stream movies or series to the flat screen in the loft."
