  • Awesome! Beautiful cabin, great views.

"While visiting the Ashville area to see the Biltmore House a few weeks ago, my siblings and I stayed at "Blissful Paradise". The cabin was just as the pictures and description described it. It was beautifully decorated, homey with lots of room for all of us to spread out and the kitchen was well stocked. The views were lovely and although it was in the 30's each morning, the deck was our favorite place to grab a cup of coffee, make plans for the day, admire how bright the stars were, and wait for the sunrise. Since we all left our pets at home, we were pleasantly surprised when one of the neighbor's 4 legged friends came over to visit each morning. Our visiting friend sat patiently by the back door looking in. He was no bother and didn't stay long, but for us dog lovers, it was icing on the cake. I cannot say enough about Caty. She couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating and you could tell by how clean and well maintained the property was she cares a great deal about her home. The cabin was far enough out of town to have a country feel but was only a 15 - 20 minute drive to restaurants and Ashville. I would absolutely recommend "Blissful Paradise" to my family and friends. Thanks Caty for allowing us to stay in your home....we had a great 4 days!!!! The Bassett Family"

  • Perfect seclusion

"This was just what the doctor ordered - to get away from it all for a week (and definitely could've been longer). The view every morning/evening is SPECTACULAR. The mountain is quiet and beautiful. The house is spacious and remarkably well equipped (lots of linens, kitchen supplies/utensils). Only a 15min drive into Asheville - we often took a cab from the cabin into town, then take an uber/cab back, very simple (~$20 one-way for 6 people). There is SO MUCH to do in Asheville (breweries, restaurants, music EVERYWHERE). Spoke with the owner on the phone after the stay... very pleasant conversation, very warm, and accommodating. For a delicious quick bite nearby, try the burritos at the local Mexican place at the bottom of the hill (Nachos and Beer I think was the name of the place, looks like a diner). Warning: To those of you who live in "flatter" areas, the drive up is a little thrilling. Only "con" I recall - there's only one shower, but it has 2 shower heads, as a nice compensation. I would absolutely recommend a stay and I can't get back there soon enough. You owe it to yourself to be in a state of serenity like this at least once in your life."

  • Perfect Again!

"This was our fourth stay here and once again we had a great time. The creek was amazing as the kids played and adults relaxed in hammocks we stretched over the creek. We are already planning our vacation for next year."

  • Holidays in Heaven...

"We just spent the past several days in Bison Overlook Lodge and we couldn't be more pleased. The log cabin is absolutely beyond words. When I walked in, the first thing I saw was the amazing, huge Christmas tree in the great room. After looking all around, it showed that someone took the time to decorate with detail. It was tastefully done and added to the holiday spirit. Besides the holiday decorations, the decor of the lodge was lovely from the pictures, the accent pillows, the knickknacks to the bedding, etc... You need nothing for comfort as the home has it all. The kitchen is fully stocked and I was able to cook each meal without missing anything. In fact, I think the drawers were better equipped than in my own home. The view from every window is breathtaking. The property does not feel like a rental; it feels like a home. Each night we had a nice fire so we could keep the heater off (or very low). The fire heated the entire house. We spent an afternoon in the hot tub that was perfect to warm the bones and relax a tired body after hiking the many trails all around. I loved that each morning the goats and mini horses came straight to our back balcony until we came out to pet them and of course, take many pictures of them. Every now and then, a baby would get out of the fence and I had to push him back through to his side. The bison are simply an attraction that one never grows tired of seeing, especially each morning at the feeding area. If you are looking a for a get-away, then look no further. You have found a piece of Heaven. Speaking of which, look up on a clear night and be amazed by the night sky. Truly a spectacular display! THANK YOU for the perfect mini-vacation. My only complaint: NOT being able to stay longer. Next time I will plan better in advance to book for a much longer time."
