  • Fantastic Lake Fantastic House

"What a wonderful way to spend a week. The house is perfect.Very well designed with quiet private room for the grandparents, lovely bedroom with screened in porch for the newly weds and family rooms for the parents with two children. Everyone had their own space. The kitchen has plenty of everything-pots, pans, dishwasher, sets of dishes. Plenty of water toys for everyone. The lake is beautiful and tranquil. Even over Memorial Day weekend it was peaceful in our cove. A must is to rent the boats from the neighbor Jim. He knows all the history of the area and checks on you for any boat needs. The boys went fishing with him one morning and had a great time. The Owner is extremely helpful and left no questions unanswered. His welcome packet covers everything you could imagine with helpful hints. We hiked in Smokey Mountains every other day and spend time on the lake the others. A must if you are there the first of June is the Synchronized Firefly in Joyce Kilmer Forest a short distance away. Thank you for sharing your home."

  • Everything you could possibly want or need!!

"We just returned from a delightful, restful 4 nights at Pine Tops. First of all, the cabin is adorable--it truly exudes charm, comfort, and love. You can't help but feel "at home". It was the most well equipped cabin we've ever stayed in, even including baskets of toilet paper and soap so we didn't have to run out and buy a bunch of supplies, which we appreciated arriving as late as we did. The cabin is in an incredible setting that pictures cannot do justice--you literally feel like you are in a fairy treehouse. Every direction you look out, all you see are trees and rhododendron. There is plenty of seating in the large living room , lovely deck, huge screened in porch, with dining areas in both large living spaces. The bedrooms include plenty of hooks and drawer space and the bedding is gorgeous. The art creates a welcoming environment. All 3 bathrooms are well equipped with plenty of supplies, towels, drawers and hooks. The decorations don't come across as clutter but contribute to telling the "story" of the owner and cabin, which you will very much appreciate. We are middle aged grownups but decided we wished the owner would adopt us!! There are numerous darling touches, such as a tiny little table for children, with accompanying small wooden chairs in red, green, and yellow. Plenty of candles and matches in case the power goes out which it never did--but still, just one more indication that the owner has literally thought of everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the coffee table books and interesting reading material scattered throughout the home. Another aspect we enjoyed and which helped make the home so enjoyable and relaxing was little touches like always having appropriate lamps in each spot, and no matter where one is sitting, there's a nearby table or stool on which to rest your book and cup of coffee. There seemed to be a bunch of TVs, which we never watched, but we did enjoy listening to music on the stereo. I'm a hotnatured person and was concerned about the lack of central air in humid August, but it was not a problem. The air is cool and circulates well with all the screened doors; and if needed, you can turn on all 3 bathroom a/c units and let them run which does cool things off. Location so quiet, yet, just minutes from town! Last, the high quality and precious nature of many of the items in the cabin indicated a respect for the guests--a desire to share lovely things to evoke delight."

  • Perfect!

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely cabin for a short weekend to mountain bike. It was quiet, clean and super close to Tsali and the NOC. We highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a peaceful mountain get-away. We can't wait to return!"

  • Beautiful Mountain Cabin + Hot Tub

"This cabin has an awesome hot tub. If it were nothing more than a hot tub on top of a mountain that alone would be enough reason for you to spend your vacation here. But it is so much more than that. The cabin is super cozy and much of it is handmade. You can see this handiwork in the railings, walls, and other cabin features. It has large windows that let in a lot of natural light and really connect you with the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. It has a loft, beautiful wood flooring, and a porch perfect for immersing yourself in the sounds of remote mountain bliss. The cabin is in a clearing and at night you can sit on the deck, look up at the sky and see millions of stars. It has a fire pit so you can cook food, roast marshmallows, tell stories, and do other fire pit related activities. It is fantastic. In fact, I am kind of wondering why I'm not still there. If it were possible to give this place 10 stars, I would give it 11. I would recommend if to families, couples, singles, platonic friends, professionals, amateurs, and anyone who enjoys all the gorgeous mountain scenery North Carolina has to offer. Also, the owners of this place are some of the most gracious, kind-hearted, welcoming people you will ever meet. You can stop looking your next vacation getaway, you found it."
