  • Great getaway!!

"Everything was as stated. Loved staying here, walking distance to the main strip. Lots of restaurants and other things to do. Owner was very pleasant to work with."

  • Peaceful retreat on the water

"My family and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay in this home on the lake. There are some other homes around, but it feels very secluded, super quiet and peaceful! The decks are great with some really impressive stargazing opportunities. I''m sure the summer there is a blast with the lake! The home is really well laid out for a family with kids or even two families. All the rooms are really spacious, there is plenty of relaxing space on each level and the kitchen has all the essentials. There are some puzzles, DVDs and VHS tapes (:-0!!) with some real classics in there. Grill is well- maintained and easy access to the kitchen. The fire pit area is really nice - sadly, we didn't get to put it to use due to some weather issues and other plans, but there was firewood provided. Overall, I would say the photos of the house don't do it justice! I would definitely recommend trying to take everything you might need on your way in and stay put if possible, as it would take quite a while to get to a grocery store, etc due to the very windy and steep roads. We did this and were really glad we didn't have to leave. No quick runs for beer here! Not a bad thing, just a thing to be aware of if you aren't too familiar with the area. We would definitely stay here again, no question. Thank you for opening your lovely home!"

  • Lodging Accommodations were Excellent!!

"Great location not far from I40, close to restaurants and downtown Hendersonville and not far to scenic Jump Off Rock. House was very clean. Christy was customer friendly and prompt when answering emails or phone calls. I have already referred friends to this house for a mountain vacation. Great breakfast at Fireside nearby and great dinner at Never Blue in downtown Hendersonville."

  • Great location in Asheville

"We stayed at Bill's condo for a family getaway in November. I can't imagine a better spot for the price in Asheville: right downtown with a parking deck across the street. Not that the profiles pictures were bad, but I thought the place looked even better in person which tends to not always be the case. It was clean and comfortable. If you don't feel like staying in there are numerous restaurants within a stone's throw. There is even a good coffee shop right nearby for your morning fix (the condo does have a coffee maker, though). We had our 8 month old daughter with us. The closet in the bedroom was just the right size to fit a pack and play in and serve as her "bedroom". Other than taking up most of the floor space in the living room this was the best option. So if you have a little one with you the condo can accommodate. Bill was prompt with response to inquiries and emails. My wife also left her hair dryer there by accident and it was in the mail the next day after she contacted him about it. Overall I would definitely stay here again, and totally recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the middle of downtown Asheville."
