"What a wonderful cottage we were able to stay for just one night. Martha was so accomodating when we were in need of a place to stay at the last minute! Could not have asked for anything better with this cottage. The property is beautiful, private, cozy and the pond was was beautiful. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a quaint place to stay in the Hendersonville area!!! Thanks again Martha!!!"

  • Window fans would be a good idea.

"The cabin is a nice one and nicely appointed. The rental price is also attractive. The downside is no AC, and we were there in early August during a heatwave. Allen recently put ceiling fans in nearly all of the rooms, but on hot and muggy nights this mostly just stirs the air that's already there. The real key is window fans. We actually went out and bought three inexpensive 20" Walmart window fans late on the night we arrived (about $60). The outside air was 10 degrees cooler at 9pm, and in ten minutes the window fans reduced the inside air by that same 10 degrees. My relatives were shocked by how much more pleasant and livable the rooms became in just those few minutes."

"We returned a couple of weeks ago from this beautiful area . We loved the home and everything about it . The interior is very beautifully decorated and the views and grounds are just awesome . We boated in the lake ,shopped in Highlands and Cashiers , visited many waterfalls and ate at great restaurants . Randy was extremely cordial and helpful with all our arrangements. We wouldn't hesitate to return again and hope to very soon !!"

  • Wonderful cabin, beautiful river, great location!

"This cabin is even better than advertised; the pictures do not do it justice! The cabin itself is beautiful and has everything you could need including a fully-outfitted kitchen, tv with Directv and super comfy bed and couches. We loved grilling out and then eating on the screened porch where we could see and hear the river. Also, it was invaluable to us that we were able to bring our dog. This is such a great feature for those of us who consider our dogs family. She had the best time playing in the river and sunning herself on the beach. (So did we!) The street is very quiet and private but it's only a few minutes from downtown Murphy with its restaurants and antique stores. Such a cute little town; we visited the brewery twice. There's an Ingles and a Walmart close by too for any grocery needs. Also, everyone in town was so nice and friendly and helpful. This includes George; he was wonderful. He made sure that we had everything we needed and gave some great suggestions on things to do and places to eat and made sure that we knew he was available if we needed anything... but then gave us our space to relax and enjoy our vacation. We fell in love with Murphy and with the cabin and plan to definitely return soon. You will not be disappointed if you book this! Highly recommend!"
