  • Peaceful Silence Around A Well Cared For Home

"We have had a wonderful time for the first moment till we had to leave again. Booking process was easy (although we booked on a short notice), rental home easy to find (although remotely located), and the home was welcoming and clean at our arrival. The views from the living area and backyard are magnificent. We truly enjoyed the peaceful silence up there on the mountain. The hot tub was a well appreciated amenity for the entire family. We did not go out for dinner, but enjoyed cooking at the house that provided what we needed to prepare our meals. The home is very tastefully decorated and the large front of windows in the living area makes it bright and inviting. We truly appreciated the comfortable beds and linens provided. Angela was a pleasure to communicate with. We could tell that she and her family have put many hours of love and care into this home. It feels rather a family home than a rental business."

  • Fabulous home in the mountains!!! Grab it if you can!!

"As soon as we set foot into this home we knew how wonderful our vacation week would be. The house is spotlessly clean with a brand new kitchen totally equipped for anything you may want or need. What more can you ask for? The view from the sliding doors to the balcony overlooks Lake Glenville with no obstruction. There is another closed balcony area with the same view to eat your meals or watch the rain on the Lake. A hummingbird feeder allowed us to watch the beautiful birds come and go during our stay. We ate dinner every night at home because we did not want to miss the amazing sunsets over the Lake from our balcony. Walking in the neighborhood gave us the exercise we needed up and down to the Lake. ( It got easier as the days went by). We loved the neighborhood of Tator Knob!! It is easy to reach the town of Cashiers which has many restaurants to choose from. We loved Ren Devu and Micas....great settings and dog friendly! You must get some local goat cheese from Cashiers Market along with their home made ice cream and wonderful pie assortments to enjoy while relaxing at home late in the evenings. We hiked White side mountain and walked around Lake Fairfield a few times... There are so many choices in the area for outdoor activity it is hard to choose. We loved Hickory House so much we are thinking about purchasing in the area, but until then, we hope to be back enjoying this wonderful home on Lake Glenville. Thank you to the owners who put so much thought and effort into making this the best vacation home!!"

  • we all agree that we would like to make a trip to Tatonka Lodge a family tradition

"There's so much to say, I hope I can get it all in. We just returned yesterday from three days at Tatonka Lodge - it was incredible! Preparation for the trip and all of the information necessary to get there was very helpful; Cheryl was amazingly responsive to every call and email. We were there with our grown children and grandchildren ages 8 mo, 3, 6 and 8 and we had a blast! The weather was extraordinarily warm so we didn't get the chance to enjoy a fire but we will be back so will get to do that next time. We all enjoyed being outside - the workout/hiking trail to the tether ball area and the playground was alot of fun! The cabin is beautiful and we felt right at home from the minute we arrived. We loved the game room! The kids slept on the futons in the loft and loved it! The beds were comfortable and even with everyone there, we had plenty of space inside and out places for quiet moments. The view from and around the property is breathtaking. The kids enjoyed seeing the llama, buffalo, goats, rabbits, horses and ponies! We also enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The location of the hot tub is perfect for enjoying the view or enjoying a beautiful starry night! It was an amazing 3 days and everyone is in agreement that we would like to make this a family tradition. We met Stevie and Jacob (?) who were working hard on the farm I'm sure making more incredible spaces. They were so NICE and helpful and we were able to convince them to return for lunch to enjoy some homemade vegetable soup. We enjoyed their company. It was also nice to see pictures of the building process. Amazing work! Congratulations to all that contributed and continue to work so hard. Guess I'd better comment on the driveway. The lower section of the driveway had just been paved making that first hill much easier. I'm glad that I didn't have to drive but I'm a nervous driver :( No one else in our party had any trouble (we were driving a truck, and 3 SUVs). Just be prepared for a steep steady climb but once there, it is SO WORTH IT! You'll be in heaven on top of the mountain! Thank you Cheryl for your responsiveness. We will be back......... and can't wait!"
