  • Wonderful mountain home with lots of space

"We had a party of 12 and this beautiful mountain home was perfect for our large party. The home is about 20-25 minutes from Downtown Hendersonville. If you like to apple pick, this is the perfect location as it's located right off of the road where many apple orchards are located. The kitchen is very well stocked. Bedrooms were very spacious with comfortable beds. One of our favorite spots was the firepit located below the home/across the street. We also enjoyed a short walk down to the creek. Communication with Esther was great. Would definitely stay here again!"

  • Great Family Reunion

"We had a wonderful family reunion including multiple generations and ages from the 80's to 6 months. The house was comfortable, large enough to give everyone private space when needed and great gathering space to all be together. We cooked all our meals there and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essential cookware, utensils, etc. for that. We went up to Almond to rent pontoon boats and Carl's suggestion for the route to get there proved to be a beautiful drive. Our day on the lake tubing and swimming was fabulous. There are multiple hikes close by and even the three year old managed to get to the waterfall. There is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Lots of good memories were made! The only problem with our stay there was that it was too short."

  • Beautiful House with Heavenly Views

"We loved our stay at Bear Paw. It is a beautiful house on top of a mountain. When we entered, the view of the mountain range took our breath away. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch relaxing and watching this view change hourly. Some mornings you could not see the mountains at all due to the mist and then slowly they would start to peek out until they revealed all their glory. I am a amateur photographer but I did get manage to take some fantastic pictures. The house was clean and well maintained. The furniture and décor were beautiful and made our stay very comfortable. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed to cook some really nice meals. This is a very good location and we made easy trips to downtown Franklin, Highlands, NC and to Dillards in GA. There are plenty of gem mines, waterfalls, restaurants and shopping in the area. Several friends and family members have already asked about this property and we definitely recommend it. The only complaint I had is that we only booked it for a week; would like to have stayed longer. Thank you Brett and Konnie for the accommodations. You were easy to work with and we hope to repeat our experience."

  • Property was in great location away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and city noise.

"House was as advertised and has been kept up in good shape. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. We had a party of four couples who have known each other for almost fifty years and we had a great, relaxing time. We never turned on a TV and spent a good deal of time in the living room and out on the large back deck. Location of the property is perfect if you want to be close to civilization but not too far from restaurants and downtown Asheville. Road to the property was rather steep and gravelly. Not recommended for stay if snow is in the forecast."
