  • Nice and Convenient!

"My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends for New Year's Eve. It was the perfect location - nice views, quiet atmosphere and close to downtown Hendersonville. The kitchen/living room area is open and really nice for gathering/hanging out. It really fit our needs well and the benefit of it being dog-friendly was even better! Jess was incredibly responsive during all of the planning as well. We hope to return to this spot in the future!"

  • Stoney Brook is fabulous!

"Stoney Brook is fabulous! Our family had the best time ever! The house is all that you could want and more. The pictures do not do it justice. It is well equipped and so very comfortable. They have thought of everything you might need. My wife and I loved the screened in deck with gas fire place, it was perfect for morning coffee and meditations. Our sons enjoyed the down stairs rec-room and the great access to the lake. However, the fishing was less than stellar. This beautiful home is just a short drive from rafting, and the lake is truly stunning. Bring your boat, it is worth the effort. This place is quite and secluded, it feels very private, yet we never felt bored. There is much to see and do. It took a few days before our kids (4 college students) figured out they could access the wifi for their mobile technology, and we didn’t experience any outages or problems with satellite or utilities, and the hot tube was a welcome pleasure, especially after a long day of rafting. Everything was in proper working order, however, I would suggest a new gas grill. At night, we played cards, fixed outrageous meals, watched movies and roasted marsh mellows on the spectacular fire pit just off the deck. We took late night boat rides, and spent much needed time getting reacquainted, laughing and making memories. We will be back! Dereck Fields & Family (Columbus, IN)"

  • Mountain Treasure

"We stayed in a Majestic View Retreat for 5 days: 4 adults and 6 kids. Upon our arrival we were breathless. The house really stands for its name. I need to mention that it was our first trip out of flat FL in 10 years. We fell in love with the mountains. It was fun observing the sky every day: sunny or rainy, clear or foggy. The air is so fresh and cool. We liked waking up early and taking pictures of the sunrise. We saw lots of wild animals in the area: deer, turkeys, rabbits, a raccoon. A huge green mantis was welcoming us near the door. Not to mention the birds which were everywhere and the singing cicadas at night. The house is big, bright, made of wood, well-maintained and –decorated. It was a good fit for 2 families. The kitchen had everything we needed: kitchenware, utensils, condiments, lots of small but necessary stuff as Ziploc bags, food wrap, foil. The owners also supplied propane for the grill and plenty of wood for the campfire. Washer and dryer was a big help with 6 kids that knew where to find the dirt:). We loved the fire pit area where we were roasting marshmallows or just sitting by the fire enjoying the view. The kids especially liked the basement game room. There were many board games under TV on the main floor so no time to be bored. Mike and Coletta were nice to provide 2 thick binders with things to do around the area and even states. We went to Fields of the Wood (Bible-themed park), Fire Creek falls (which was tricky to find), Chetuge lake, Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls (which were a 2hr ride to Franklin/Highlands but absolutely worth the drive), Ducktown Basin Museum (small but nice people working there), Ruby falls (a 2hr ride to Chattanooga, it was our first time in the cavern), WagonMaster Adventure Ranch and Fun Park (a good place for little kids with very kind owners). Now that we are home we have nothing but good memories of the place and NC. Thank you Mike and Coletta for giving us the opportunity to spend our vacation at this place! Highly recommended!!!"
