  • Spacious Seclusion for Crafters

"We had a girls' getaway weekend to scrapbook and craft, and the Miller Guesthouse was perfect! There are many spacious common areas that even the photos do not capture. We were wowed by not only the size of the living room, but also the entryway, formal dining room, and downstairs bathroom. We brought 3 portable tables that all fit in the living room with PLENTY of room to still get around. If you are staying with teens and kids, the spacious upstairs loft would be nice for them to have their own space as well. We really appreciated all the bedrooms. The sheets even smelled fresh and clean! Really, everything about the house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped with tools, serving ware, pots and pans, and dishes. Since we had planned meals to make during our stay, the high quality gas range was great! The countertop space is limited, but there were so many other positives about the house that I don't mention that as a complaint, rather an FYI in the event you have that need for the kitchen. There is a large dining room table that could be used in lieu of countertop space as well. It also should be noted that there is no automatic dishwasher. We did come into the weekend knowing we needed internet connection for both work as well as for our scrapbooking needs, so this was a requirement when we looked for a place to stay. This became an issue, which was the only negative thing about our stay. If one device was connected, it was quite slow. Once we put two or more devices on the wireless network, we had failures. Admittedly this was a disappointment as knew we had to be dependent on internet connectivity. The house sits up on a high hill, which makes you feel more secluded as you are high above the road. It also really made for beautiful sunsets in the living room with the large picture windows. All the natural sunlight on the first floor was very refreshing and certainly helpful for our crafting activities. During our stay, we did have a minor need. We contacted the housekeeper, and she was quickly responsive and stopped by to address our need. She was very nice and helpful. We are already planning to return in the spring for another girls' reunion!"

  • The three C's

"Cozy, comfortable and clean. Also, location is very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. The only problem was upon arrival there was a note about owing $30.21 for taxes. I wouldn't have a problem paying additional fees had it been disclosed during the reservation process or communicated to me."

  • Quaint and inviting

"A very open floor plan that made it easy to accommodate 3 couples and 2 dogs. Everything you would need for a weekend getaway with a very enjoyable atmosphere. The outdoor covered patio was cozy and relaxing with the fireplace. I would highly recommend!!"

  • Wonderful gathering place!

"Our family of 21 had plenty of space and everyone had a bed! We gathered from numerous states and enjoyed the luxury of celebrating Christmas together. The Manor was decorated beautifully for Christmas with several trees, lights and garlands. There are places for group conversations and little nooks for more initimate sharing. We loved the basement with many options for the active high energy persons. The home theater was great. The hosts, Jodi & Eric, made sure all our needs were met and checked in numerous times."
