  • Just what we were looking for - quaint and plenty of space indoors and out

"This property is in a great location. Being that it is next to a winery offers a place to indulge in wine just next door and enough parking space for everyone traveling in. We did a winery tour in the area and the limo had no problem getting in or out to pick us up. We also made great use of the fire pit, kitchen, large dining room, and outdoor space for corn hole for all group fun. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommended!"

  • Location can't be beat!

"We stayed here for a girlfriends weekend in October. The house was super clean and had room for everyone to spread out. The home is older, but does have a lot of character. The location was great. It's literally less than a minute to 4 wineries and the distillery. Kathy was a great host to deal with. She did not accept credit cards at the time we stayed, but no worries, she came to pick up the check within a couple hours of our arrival and showed us around. Even though she lives across the street, that was the only time we saw her. I am sure if we had any issues she would of been more than happy to help. We really had no issues at all with privacy. We had WIFI with no problems and all of our cell phones got great reception. The code was on top of the fridge in a basket for WIFI. We did have to hunt around a bit to find it! There is one full bath on the main level as well the kitchen which was updated, living room, dining room and two enclosed porches. Off the side porch, there is a deck with a picnic table and a gas grill. The outside deck was lit up at night by sparkle lights which was a nice touch. The back porch off the dining area has a wood burner stove and a pizza oven as well. The upstairs contains all four bedrooms, three were a great size with queen beds. The other bedroom was smaller with a twin. The bathroom upstairs was large enough to hold all our girl things on the vanity. We didn't have time to check out the property in the back with the pond so I can't comment on that. There was a barn and a large garage behind the house. The grape vines were to the left of the house, but there was plenty of open areas in the back if your bring a pet. My friends and I get together once a year from all over to have a girls weekend and I would definitely consider staying here again!! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in."

  • Great home for a great vacation. So clean and great location

"We had 9 people staying for the week and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. We even used the crock pot to have dinner ready when we got home from our day adventuring. So close to the highway for access to Sandusky, Toledo, Cleveland. Gregg and Carol were so great to work with and responded to questions within hours. The bikes were great. Private beach was relaxing. Old Homestead area was quaint and fun to walk or bike around. A few restaurants in the area were very good. There is a little grocery store around the corner but since we had 9 people and a lot of shopping for the week we went to super walmart which wasn't far. We played board games and cards-supplied in the house. Wifi was nice to have with 2 tweens .We were able to find local places to rent wave runners which was so nice out on the lake. There are only 2 reasons I didn't give this house 5 stars and may not be important to others. 1- there were only 12 channels on the tv. with a 2 year old and tweens they were wanting more on the rainy day. 2- the grill is charcoal which I don't like working with. this is mentioned in the description so I knew but gave it a try which didn't go so well for me. Don't hesitate to book this house. It is great"

  • Perfect Condo with Awesome View

"We have a family of four with two teenage boys and wanted a nice place to stay while visiting Cedar Point. We stayed at one of the hotels on the park property the last time we came, but never again. This condo was immaculate, comfortable, quiet with a wall of windows looking out on Lake Erie. The two bathrooms and bedrooms made it convenient to get ready in the morning. The pool was large and clean and there were several restaurants within walking distance. Diane and her husband were very responsive and made us feel very welcome. Rent this condo, it will exceed your expectations."
