  • Location can't be beat!

"We stayed here for a girlfriends weekend in October. The house was super clean and had room for everyone to spread out. The home is older, but does have a lot of character. The location was great. It's literally less than a minute to 4 wineries and the distillery. Kathy was a great host to deal with. She did not accept credit cards at the time we stayed, but no worries, she came to pick up the check within a couple hours of our arrival and showed us around. Even though she lives across the street, that was the only time we saw her. I am sure if we had any issues she would of been more than happy to help. We really had no issues at all with privacy. We had WIFI with no problems and all of our cell phones got great reception. The code was on top of the fridge in a basket for WIFI. We did have to hunt around a bit to find it! There is one full bath on the main level as well the kitchen which was updated, living room, dining room and two enclosed porches. Off the side porch, there is a deck with a picnic table and a gas grill. The outside deck was lit up at night by sparkle lights which was a nice touch. The back porch off the dining area has a wood burner stove and a pizza oven as well. The upstairs contains all four bedrooms, three were a great size with queen beds. The other bedroom was smaller with a twin. The bathroom upstairs was large enough to hold all our girl things on the vanity. We didn't have time to check out the property in the back with the pond so I can't comment on that. There was a barn and a large garage behind the house. The grape vines were to the left of the house, but there was plenty of open areas in the back if your bring a pet. My friends and I get together once a year from all over to have a girls weekend and I would definitely consider staying here again!! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in."

  • Kris miller

"My family really enjoyed our wknd getaway. House was located conveniently to everything. Perfect location on the lake. Kids fished, canoed and went swimming right off beach in front of house. House had everything you would need. Was a great experience. Darlene was wonderful to work with. We definitely will go back and stay longer!"

  • Felt like going home

"We stayed at this charming home 5 years ago with our friends and 6 kids aged 8-13 at the time. We had an amazing time and were thrilled when it was available for our return trip. The kids are now much bigger and older, but we all had a great time. They still loved swimming in the (cold!) lake and climbing the tree. Cedar Point is a short drive away and always on our to do list. Carol and George are wonderful people and make you feel right at home, without being intrusive. The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need. Although there is no air conditioning, there is plenty of ventilation and we were all very comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to come back again!"

  • Great property, perfect weekend.

"This was a great property. Got away with my friends, grilled out, docked the boat, had a fire. A really nice get away, with some great amenities like a gas grill, full kitchen, and laundry. There is a nice little town just down the road, and some major stores only a couple miles away for the things we forgot to pack. Would definitely return."
