  • GREAT Family Trip

"We had a family trip with 12 family members - ages 9 to 80. Kids will never forget the family vacation with the caboose! We all had a great time. Michael was very responsive. We texted one night to ask to see if the house had skewers to roast marshmallows by the fire pit, and he responded immediately and even had one in the garage! He was attentive and easy to work with. My only negative comment is that there is no dishwasher, which I didn't realize when booking the property. We visited Cedar Point, which was an easy 30 minutes from the house - as well as Put-In Bay. Great day trips from this house."

  • Gem on the Lake

"We come up to Ohio every summer and look forward to staying here by the lake. It is very relaxing and peaceful. We love the beautiful sunsets and have a great collection of sunset pictures. As an added bonus we have seen eagles flying over the lake! Ellen and John are gracious hosts and we love to visit with them. This place is a gem on the lake!"

  • Great place for a group get-away

"Loved it. We stayed two nights; found the place to be clean, well maintained and accurately represented by the online pictures and descriptions. The outside chairs and decking are showing the weather and age but for our group of 8 we had plenty of room and seating to gather inside and out. We stayed on one of the hottest July weekends so the dock, kayaks and water were absolutely wonderful to have. The motion-lights were at key points needed. We would stay again and would recommend. We enjoyed going into Logan and touring the Washboard factory and Bowen house and a few little shops. Four stars - one item needed to move to five is comfortable seating for movie watching. Not enough cushioned elements. - also some type of step and/or railing down to dock from Gazebo. Great place, thanks!"

  • Everything you could think of AND MORE!

"My husband and six of our friends from Ford Motor Company Engine Plant #1 booked Memorial Day weekend, and we were NOT disappointed! We met Rose upon our arrival, and were given a tour of the property which is beautiful, and absolutely gorgeous. It's like a private tucked away island, ON THE ISLAND. Your front yard view from every bedroom is THE LAKE and there is a brand new tree house built for leisure. We spent our mornings up there with coffee, and the resident pooch, Shadow, who we fell in love with all weekend. Everything we needed was provided and Rose and Carmen were incredibly accommodating. They spent some quality time with us, explaining the history of the island and the area. We also traveled into town (about ten minutes away) in one vehicle for evening fun. There is a kayak, a canoe and fishing equipment provided. We loved every minute there and will be returning next spring/summer. Thanks to Rose for her gracious hospitality and friendship. Such a sweet family!"
