"I treated my 13-year-old to a Mother/Daughter weekend for some quality time together. This was the perfect venue for our getaway. The guest cottage was constructed as a "doll house" for the daughters of the original owners of the estate almost 100 years ago, but it has been meticulously maintained. It's a perfect melding of cozy and luxurious. The view from every window is serene. Views of Lake Erie are within a short distance's walk. We really couldn't have been more satisfied. I would mention to anyone with mobility issues that you cannot drive up to the front door to unload your belongings. The cottage is accessed by means of a narrow flagstone staircase. As we were visiting during the snow, the owner was very conscientious about salting the stairs and pathway for us."

  • Location, location, location!

"Our Little Italy stay was delightful! Adam's apartment is bright and sunny, quiet, has comfortable beds, and is an ideal location for walking to all the bakeries, restaurants, etc. in Little Italy. We spent 3 wonderful nights here as some down time during a 20 day college audition trip with my daughter. I would LOVE to bring my East Coast Italian Mama back for a visit! A seriously perfect location in Cleveland to see everything in University Circle...the Art Museum, Severance Hall (and the Cleveland Orchestra), etc. And laundry facilities, as well! Such a great visit!"

  • Clean, private, quiet and did I mention clean?

"The property owner called me enroute to give me directions and advice about my after dark arrival. I found the address easily and was met at the door and shown the beautiful little apartment. The owner was charming and quickly showed me all of the details I needed to know and left me to my getaway. It was so private, had its own driveway, and I was never aware of anyone else on the property. The apartment was perfect with a relaxing bedroom, spacious bath, properly equipped kitchenette/laundry and a very comfortable sitting room. I slept better than I usually do, the bed was comfortable and smelled so good...the whole apartment smelled clean and was spotless. It was a wonderful little getaway and I would not hesitate to do it again! I shared the information about the rental with the group at the workshop I was attending...they were all staying much further away in a noisy hotel. I may have competition when I come back!! I was sorry not to say good bye, but I overslept and had to leave quickly on my last advice would be to set the alarm will sleep well! I was in the area for a wool dyeing workshop at the Crows on the Ledge. I found the restaurant in town quaint, and while they take pride in their egg and meat breakfasts, they were able to make me vegan breakfasts. Dinner at one of the local wineries was wonderful, and I was able to make a vegan pizza at Pizza Roto. All in all it was a great getaway."
