  • Luxury, Beauty, Adventure This Cabin has it All!

"A luxurious rustic cabin in a majestic setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Curly's Cabin. It was appropriately stocked, beautifully rustic, and was conveniently located to many of the areas adventures. It allowed for a private getaway and offered hiking, supplied outdoor games, and even a fire pit to gather around. Arriving and departing were seamless. We will definitely be back!!!"

  • Clean and Convenient for Cedar Point

"Our family of five stayed here for three nights while visiting Cedar Point. We selected it due to its proximity to the park, and we are glad we did. We were close enough to drive back for dinner and return to the park afterward. The house is well equipped in the kitchen with needed pans and tableware. It was clean and relatively comfortable for our needs. The evenings were quiet, and we spent some time enjoying a walk around the block and down to the marina. The house is cooled with window air conditioners, which did the job just fine. We did find that one of the bedrooms upstairs has the air conditioner right behind the door, so we had to keep that room's door closed or the A/C would cause condensation on the back of the door. But that was fine, as we kept the doors closed anyway to keep the cool air in the bedrooms and not spilling down the stairs. We were able to park comfortably next to the house as shown in the photos, and we pulled our car back away from the street at night. The back yard has a picnic table, which we enjoyed the first evening that we arrived. There is a little fire pit, and Gary helpfully offered us wood from the marina area. We didn't use that while we were there, because we got back to the house late each night. But the back yard is a nice little private area. Waste disposal is easy, as you simply take the trash next door to the marina dumpster. The outdoor grill needs some work. The tank was full of propane, but we could not get the main burners to light. The side burner lit, but the main burner seems either rusted out or clogged. We didn't spend a lot of time cooking, so we didn't bother to bring it up to the owners. I'm sure they would have taken care of the problem for us if we had asked. I suggest the owners consider a room dehumidifier. We were there in early July, and we ran the A/C to get the humidity down, but that left the main level quite cool. A freestanding dehumidifier would have made the area more comfortable and not needing to be quite so cold. They may also wish to think about replacing the mattress in the upstairs bedroom that has the one bed in it. That mattress is rather soft and springy such that we had to almost draw straws to see which child would use that bed. This house is a great choice for the price and proximity to Cedar Point. Our security deposit was refunded promptly after departure. I would definitely stay here again if we returned."

  • Great Getaway

"This is our 7th or 8th year staying at the ranch by the winery or the farmhouse (both flank Laurello Winery and Vineyard). We love the location -- 15-20 minutes to Geneva State Park beach and Geneva-on-the-lake strip. We enjoyed nice cook-outs at the home and at the GOL Community Park (great playground for little kids). Robinson's at the intersection of SR 534 and 307 just up the road has the best pies and sweet corn in season. We love it!"
