  • Cute Weekend Property

"We rented this home for a Cedar Point Weekend trip. The home is very clean and well decorated. I liked that they provided plenty of towels and extra sheets. Access/directions were easy. Kirt was easy to work with. It is in a good location--not too far from Cedar Point. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the beds. I tried two different beds (upstairs blue room and downstairs sofa bed). The sofa bed is newer and therefore more comfortable. But, the upstairs beds were not comfortable and could use an update. (I looked at the manufactured date on both upstairs beds). The sheets were also pretty worn. Perhaps even a mattress pad could be an improvement. Other than that, it was a nice stay for the price."

  • Wonderful stay!

"My family and I were very pleased with the cottage. It was clean, comfortable, and a perfect location. We loved the small town of Huron and how peaceful and quiet it was. The lake is super close to go to the beach and check out the lighthouse. You are very close to Sandusky and everything it offers. Mike and Judy were both very welcoming and friendly. We didn't get a chance to use the pool during our stay but it looked wonderful and Mike and Judy are so nice to let their guests use their own pool."

  • Comfy, Quaint and Nice Location!

"You never know what you might get when you book a vacation house online. Despite the always pristine pictures and flowery descriptions with these types of things, sometimes you are disappointed with the results. This was certainly not the case with this historic tudor cottage. Our family of four (My wife, two young boys and me) spent three days and two nights at this delightful cottage at Bluebird Beach in Vermilion. Dan met us when we checked in and showed us the many amenities. They included a full furnished kitchen, several beds, towels and linens and little touches of home on the lake. (Make sure you look for the sculpture of an impish gnome's face in the ceiling corner above the interior fireplace!) The bathroom and shower are a new addition and a pleasant surprise with the multi-jet hot tub! We also loved the outdoor fireplace porch and took full advantage of the firewood (even though it was a warm night). We also made use of the outdoor grill and easily served a steak dinner with fresh corn on the cob from a local vendor. The beach is only a 3-minute walk from the cottage. Not a huge amount of room to spread out, but ample for relaxing by the water. (My son loved the flattened out rocks under the sand and spent a lot of time skipping stones!). All-in-all, a quiet neighborhood and a nice location to take in all of the northwest shore of Lake Erie's many destinations. We are a little reluctant to give such a great review, because it would be nice to keep this a "best kept" secret, but we also thought that we should share our experience with those who are looking for the perfect "old school" Lake Erie experience! Thanks again to Dan, who was a gracious host who was always on call to answer a question or let us know where things were! Tom & Laurie C. (Cincinnati, OH)"
