  • Never Knew We Could Feel So Relaxed...

"I'm writing this review as I sit on the spacious back deck of the Lazy J Hideaway. I drove up from Texas with my family and my In-Laws flew in from Florida for the 4th of July weekend. This is truly one of the best kept secrets in the Broken Bow area. Having stayed here for 6-days I can honestly say I didn't know I could feel so relaxed. We were surrounded by all the beauty that only nature provides. With the added bonus of no traffic noise, no neighbors, and no distractions for that matter. I think this is the closest my family has ever felt to one another. Probably due in part to us being completely alone. Without a doubt Shari the owner will go above and beyond to ensure your stay goes well. The cabin is far more spacious than the pictures provide. The beds are just amazing... as my wife suffers back problems and loved them. And the area outside is fantastic for large groups. The only very minor negative we found was that the pond was low (like 4-5 feet below what the pictures show online). I only write this because there is a positive to this. The pond level can't be helped... It's summer and there hasn't been any rain for awhile. But don't let this discourage you like I initially was when I pulled up to the cabin. Why? Because we still caught over 100 fish in the 6-days we were here. We just used the old worm, sinker, bobber rig. Threw it in by the marsh and wham! Fish hit it within 15-20 seconds. We caught so many small mouth bass, crappie, blue gill and trout that we felt like professional fisherman (: In the end we loved this place and have already talked about coming back to the area during the spring or fall. If this place is available to rent. I suggest you book it fast. Like I'm serious. Don't keep looking... BOOK IT NOW! It's totally worth it! Thanks again Shari!!!"

  • Fall Break

"Our stay was wonderful and we didn't want to leave. The location was peaceful and convenient. The house was lovely, the perfect size for the three of us (mom, dad, 15 y/o son. It had everything we needed for an extended weekend. Having the boat dock was wonderful and so easy to hop in and boat or fish at any moment. Good fishing right there in the cove."

  • Fun Family time in Bixby Oklahoma

"My 8 children surprised me with a trip to this fun farm in Oklahoma for my 60th birthday. There were no animals there, except a friendly cat, which our grandchildren adored. It still felt like we were on a farm. Our family totally enjoyed playing outside throwing footballs and playing baseball! I'm sure it would be super fun in the summer when the pool was in service! The house itself had a lot of atmosphere and a nice kitchen for cooking delicious meals prepared and planned by our children. There was plenty of sleeping room for all 15 of us, 4 grandchildren included. There was a karaoke machine which was loads of fun! The only negative was a small black table placed near the karaoke machine which we accidently knocked over and broke the glass. Fortunately, we were only charged to replace the glass which we appreciate. It was definitely not a good place for that table! We would return to this fun home and it is a great place to have a renunion!"
