  • Everything we hoped it would be! Home was fully equipped inside as well as out.

"We didn't want for anything, except maybe less fog and warmer weather for body boarding, but it didn't stop us. It was a nice surprise to find Adirondack chairs, BBQ (and supplies) and KITES in the garage! Nice little walk to beach access. Absolutely beautiful views from the deck. Saw a whale one night. Clamming a short distance away and plenty of great restaurants nearby. Very quiet location if you seek peace and solitude. Had an amazing time. Would definitely return!"

  • Great large home for reunion

"The first comments I got from the kids was, 'this is an awesome house'! The seven bedrooms with all the beds was more then able to accommodate the 8 adults and 11 kids we had. The kids enjoyed the large yard, the play equipment and the pool table! The adults enjoyed having their own space and the wonderful view off the deck. We did bring some favorite kitchen supplies (as suggested in the ad). There are supplies for cooking but the griddle we brought was a good idea because there's only one stove with four burners. There are plenty of dishes and flatware. The home and furnishings are older and a bit outdated. It was an easy drive to Newport (30 min.) and down to Cape Perpetua (10 min.). Traffic was a little thicker on the weekend, but delightful during the week. As a vacation house, it was affordable, a good combination of size, location and things to do while there."

  • Clearly a remodel, with attendant problems

"The oddest issue here is the deck near the beach which you can enter only by exiting to the street side of the house. The very narrow stairway to the basement can be difficult to negotiate, and for mobility challenged residents, may be especially hard as there is not enough room for side-by-side assistance. The kitchen works well with two exceptions: there is limited counter and storage space, and the electrical outlets by the window require longer cords for the coffee maker, coffee grinder, and/or toaster. Is the kitchen up to code? Finally, the basement bathroom does not have a shower, so residents are required to walk up the stairs and through the living room to use the shower. Could be uncomfortable or embarrassing."

  • Family time

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only concern we had was the rat/mouse traps in the basement and rat/mouse poison under the couch. We found mouse poop on Sunday morning. We had two small kids with us, which was concerning with the poison under the couch"
