  • Folksy and comfortable beach house

"This is our second year in this home, and we enjoy it. Everything is "beach themed" from the wallpaper to the dishes. All three bedrooms have comfortable beds and nice linens. The kitchen is very well stocked, with supplies such as coffee filters and sugar provided. It is well maintained and convenient to beaches and Newport sites such as the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Hatfield Science Center. That is much appreciated! The deck which is a total ocean view is lovely; it is a great place to visit. We like that we can take our 2 small dogs, also. The house is very close to Highway 101, which can be a challenge pulling out of and turning into the driveway, but it is manageable. As with many other central Oregon properties, there is no direct beach access. The availability of state beach parks, such as Ona Beach, which are very close to the house, makes up for that. This is a great place for a family retreat or just for a couple's relaxing getaway."

  • A wonderful secluded place close to everything

"We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary the first full week of September 2016 at this wonderful little cottage . It was simply perfect. The views of the ocean and nearby lighthouse were magnificent. It was exciting to watch the whales spout water off in the distance. I was so glad I brought my binoculars. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful evergreens and foliage and the sound of the ocean was so relaxing. Walking on the beach to reach the restaurants and shops at Nye beach and then returning back to the cottage after lunch was so enjoyable. This is the kind of place that within a few hours of your arrival you start planning your return trip. Louis provided spot on restaurant recommendations and is a super nice guy. Newport is a fun place to explore and a great central location for short trips to other destinations along the Coast. Allen's from Santa Fe"

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!

"This is the third year we've stayed at the Crow's Nest and are so fortunate that we found the ideal place for a long weekend getaway for two. We have stayed in Nye Beach for the past 18 years and once our other favorite closed (Nye Beach Hotel) we searched for the perfect replacement. It took a few years, but finally found it! We love to golf (Agate Beach, Sand Pines and Ocean Dunes), and eat (April's, Tidal Raves), and have a fire on the beach. The convenience of the Crow's Nest can't be beat. Looking to year four in 2017!"
