  • The property was exactly as advertised.

"Great views and a fun place to stay. Spent two weeks there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. While we were there, the DVD player failed. Debi quickly provided a replacement for us. We'd stay again in a heartbeat."

  • Quality Time

"We rented Hideway for 30 days to explore the area and we were thrilled with our choice. We had no idea Gleneden beach was so private as the result of being quiet and off the beaten path. It was so close to Lincoln City and Depot Bay and a short drive to Newport. Hideaway itself was comfortable, clean and just the right size. One bedroom in the main house and then the studio offered a pull out sofa. Our guests did not utilize the loft as the stairs were a little steep, like a ladder, but it would be perfect for younger folks. We can't express enough how after exploring the area almost daily, we loved returning to this neighborhood and realized it was the neighborhood quality we enjoyed. Everyone was so friendly and our dogs loved the walks everyday as did we. The beach was so close it made up for not having an ocean view. With the windows open you hear the waves crashing into shore. If you stay here, it's for the long walks, the solitude and the friendliness of those around you. It's for the convenience of amenities close by and for the being fully plugged in if you want (i.e. satellite TV, internet). We would stay here again."

  • Accessible Coastal Beauty

"My husband and I were looking for an accessible coast get away, one that would allow us to experience the beauty of the coast in spite of my husband's limited mobility (he must use a walker, sometimes a wheelchair). This home was a perfect choice. The main floor (with kitchen, dining, living, bedroom and bath) was open and very accessible. The sliding doors leading to the deck made nature accessible for everyone. The home was lovely, the setting and decor were beautiful, peaceful and relaxing, and we felt like we were immersed in nature just by stepping (or rolling) out the door or looking out one of the many windows. Highlights of our stay included viewing beautiful sunsets, grilling, and having fun in the kitchen with the waffle maker and espresso machine! If you too are looking for a vacation rental that is accessible for those with limited mobility, this is a good home to consider. However, be aware that neither of the bathrooms/showers are handicap accessible (no grab bars or wheelchair access). I'll end this review by reiterating a few of the points made by other reviewers: the owners were gracious and easy to work with, the process of renting went off without a hitch, and the place was wonderfully fresh and clean with comfortable, cozy, high quality beds (good mattresses are not something you find in many vacation homes!)."

  • Girls weekend

"This home was vey nice, clean and had lights and TVs set music playing when we arrived, this was welcoming and a nice touch. We were asked to contact property manager prior to arrival and we did this, no problem. She arrived and went over some general details and rules about the home which I initialed on a contract. Some thought the beds very soft with the foam toppers, I found this very comfortable. The beds had a lot of pillows and soft sheets. Lastly we did run out of TP after 2 of our 3 night stay. There were no tissue boxes for backup. The soap in the bathrooms was basically water, watered down soap that wouldn't lather. Otherwise the hot tub was clean and hot and there were plenty of supplies in kitchen and game garage. The trail to the beach was eroded from weather, but we were advised we could use the neighbors access which was great. This home is right on the ocean and the views are beautiful, lots of windows!"
