  • Great large home for reunion

"The first comments I got from the kids was, 'this is an awesome house'! The seven bedrooms with all the beds was more then able to accommodate the 8 adults and 11 kids we had. The kids enjoyed the large yard, the play equipment and the pool table! The adults enjoyed having their own space and the wonderful view off the deck. We did bring some favorite kitchen supplies (as suggested in the ad). There are supplies for cooking but the griddle we brought was a good idea because there's only one stove with four burners. There are plenty of dishes and flatware. The home and furnishings are older and a bit outdated. It was an easy drive to Newport (30 min.) and down to Cape Perpetua (10 min.). Traffic was a little thicker on the weekend, but delightful during the week. As a vacation house, it was affordable, a good combination of size, location and things to do while there."

  • Wonderful Place to Stay-Unbeatable View and Comfort

"We had a large group of family members staying at this house for 3 nights last month, everyone was very happy with the accomodations. We were all very comfortable, there was more than enough room for everyone, the game room was great and there are plenty of games, TV's etc for the rainy times and the variety of personalities and tastes. The house had all the appliances etc we needed stocked in the kitchen and elsewhere. The view was the absolute best I have ever had at any beach property, the picture windows are huge and they are located in a very comfortable and nicely furnished room. We would definitely recommend this house, to anyone, but especially for any larger group it is perfect. It has great private beach access and it is also close to the casino and other attractions/restaurants etc. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with and did things in a timely manner. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again in the future."

  • Happy Anniversary Indeed

"We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here this past April and couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The deck is incredible - it's as though you're sitting right on the beach but with all the comforts of home a few feet away. We spent a great deal of time outside relaxing while enjoying the panoramic view of the Pacific. Sea Grass is well stocked. The kitchen is the best stocked one of all the places we've stayed before (there was even a salad dressing cruet!). There are puzzles; games; and even a pair of binoculars. We slept in the bedroom closest to the deck and were able to leave the door open enough to let in the sea breeze. My husband usually never sleeps in but even he did while we were there. Comfy bed & plenty of bedding (extra in the chest in the room). There's fun vintage dressers in the bedrooms, and the other bedroom includes a charming painted "By the Sea..." saying on the floor in red. The TV is new with a built-in DVD player (we brought our own DVDs - I can't remember if there were any there), and there's also a gas fireplace in the living room. The cottage is at the end of a lane, and it was nice and quiet during our time there. Beach access is very close - just out the front door, right for a few yards and left then down to the beach. The access itself is rocky, so we went down slowly (old legs amongst all three of us, including our dog) but it was do-able even for us. Sea Grass is well located - about two miles from Yachats. We enjoyed the Drift Inn and the crashing waves at Smelt Sands); Cape Perpetua and Hecata Head Lighthouse just a bit further south; and the Aquarium at Newport about 30 minutes north. There is a small grocery and post office in Yachats, but get before you get to Yachats. Overall, it was just a great stay in a wonderful cottage with a stupendous view and all three of us felt very comfortable and at home here (and there was even an anniversary card & plant there for us when we arrived!). We would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever find ourselves headed that way and look forward to the opportunity. Thanks! Kim, Gregory & Dickens"

  • Accessible Coastal Beauty

"My husband and I were looking for an accessible coast get away, one that would allow us to experience the beauty of the coast in spite of my husband's limited mobility (he must use a walker, sometimes a wheelchair). This home was a perfect choice. The main floor (with kitchen, dining, living, bedroom and bath) was open and very accessible. The sliding doors leading to the deck made nature accessible for everyone. The home was lovely, the setting and decor were beautiful, peaceful and relaxing, and we felt like we were immersed in nature just by stepping (or rolling) out the door or looking out one of the many windows. Highlights of our stay included viewing beautiful sunsets, grilling, and having fun in the kitchen with the waffle maker and espresso machine! If you too are looking for a vacation rental that is accessible for those with limited mobility, this is a good home to consider. However, be aware that neither of the bathrooms/showers are handicap accessible (no grab bars or wheelchair access). I'll end this review by reiterating a few of the points made by other reviewers: the owners were gracious and easy to work with, the process of renting went off without a hitch, and the place was wonderfully fresh and clean with comfortable, cozy, high quality beds (good mattresses are not something you find in many vacation homes!)."
