  • Grandma's beach house

"Cute little place and great for the price. Smell of mildew as you first walk in so make sure to open all the windows to air the place out. Short 100ft walk to the beach which is cool. Thrifty across 101 is kind of pricy but close enough to walk. I'd shop at Freddy's in Newport next time. Coffee shop next to Thrift Way is cute but serves truck stop style coffee. Bring your own. Also, no wifi is a bummer."

  • Great View!!!

"The view from the deck is SPECTACULAR!!! You can see all the way down the bay. The house is well layed out and the kitchen is well appointed. The only downsides I can see are the small, old TV, horribly uncomfortable couches, and the tinted windows make it very difficult to see outside unless its midday and the sun is bright. But despite all of that, I would definitely stay again, if for no other reason than the view."

  • Great location, responsive owners

"We decided to rent this home due to the price and location. We chose right! The location cannot be beat as its proximity to SHARC and the village was within walking and biking distance. In fact, we rarely used our cars. The home was great for 2 families as everyone had bed space. The home is cozy and well stocked. The use of the bikes was appreciated as well. We had 1 hiccup as the home was not ready by the time we checked in. Nonetheless, the owners were immediately solving the issue and we were in a clean home within an hour! Overall, great location, great owners and good times!"

  • Comfortable house and wonderful location!

"The cabin had enough room wise for the expectation that was set; sleeping arrangements were perfect with 3 good sized beds. The cabin itself was definitely on the cold side for us. The weather was in the teens during our stay, and with cadet heaters and tile floors, the cabin was very hard to get it to warm up with the wood stove. Definitely bring slippers and cozy clothes to bundle during winter weather. The wood provided was very much appreciated. We have 3 young girls and all of them were so excited to play in the living room. We were a little surprised with the cleaning bill that we are required to pay that the floors were incredibly dirty. My girls clothes were covered in what looked like dog hair. After 3 times sweeping and really wiping everything down, we felt it was clean enough for them to play on the ground. Not a major complaint, but one to maybe take to the cleaning staff? Lastly, the directions sent to us were off by 2 miles on the last road; I was very glad we had GPS in our car. Overall, a decent stay at a good price."
