  • Nice spacious home in a quiet setting

"This is a beautiful house with lots of room. Perfectly for a large family or few families. I stayed with a group of 11 managers from my office and it worked well. The kitchen is large as the living room. I'd stay again"

  • Great Place to Stay

"The Tumalo Lake Cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Our aim for this trip was to stay in homes that reflected the area in which we were staying. The cabin certainly achieved that goal. The home is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The radiant heat made the house cozy and the woodstove added a homey feel that we enjoyed very much. I can't say enough about the beauty of the location. Despite the fact that it rained the entire three days time we were there (unusual for the high desert, even in October), we enjoyed the natural beauty immensely. Bill was a very good host and we were glad that he had lights on for us for our late night arrival. We will definitely stay again."

  • Nice spot for a winter vacation

"Peter and Susan's house was a nice place for our family to spend the winter holidays. It is large for a two bedroom and the feeling is enhanced by the really tall ceilings. We got three adults and two kids and it was really comfy. The house is well appointed, nice furniture, fireplace, very well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and everything you need in the bathrooms. And they have a jetted tub in the master! The location is four of five miles outside Bend. It worked out the few times we went skiing because the road was crowded (we got a few sunny days after a good dump of snow). So it felt like we've saved some time by not being in the city. I've been told this is the exception and they usually have less people. There is something magical to being inside the house and watching a good snow storm making everything white outside while you sit in front of the fireplace drinking hot tea. I'd love to go back to their house in the summer. It looks like the community had a pool that must be nice and the whole community seems very pleasant to walk through. The only downside is the internet service was a bit spotty. It would only matter if you want to work and need a super reliable connection. As it was for us it wasn't a big deal. Second, even though the house is heated very well the floors tend to be cold. I'd take warm socks or something to wear inside the house. Peter and Susan were very nice to deal with. The thermostat was misbehaving the first day we got in and they made sure it was fixed the day after. Last but not least, I really liked how you enter the house through the garage. It makes it very easy to get out of the car and load/unload luggage when it's cold outside."

"We had our entire family staying for Thanksgiving weekend. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy ourselves. This is a great cabin/lodge for all ages. Everyone had a great time."
