  • Peaceful Family Getaway

"This home was a great place for a smaller family. Beds were comfortable and the living room space was very cozy. The owner provided everything we needed from fun family games, to a basket of toys to take to the pool, to adult bikes to ride the bike trails. We particularly appreciated the wonderful children's storybook to read at night. That was a gem for our son. The location of the home provided a very peaceful atmosphere. Waking in the morning and seeing deer roaming just beyond our deck was such a treat. South Meadows pool is located close and provides a much quieter atmosphere compared to all the much more crowded pools. Its also a very short bike ride to the meadows bike path to the lodge where God's breathtaking creation is captured so magificently. The owner has taken much care into making her home such a special place for others. We highly recommend staying at this home. We intend to plan a return visit."

  • Exxcellent family vacation home

"We loved staying in this house. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 small kids), though we felt like it easily could have accommodated another family as well. We loved enjoying meals inside on cozy nights and outside on the peaceful back patio. The upstairs loft area was a great place for our kids to play. We loved using the bikes that were available and exploring all that BBR has to offer. The house is in a great location on the ranch, easy distance to everything. The hot tub was a family favorite! Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Perfect for a multigenerational getaway!

"We had such a lovely time in this beautiful home. Our group of eight included three generations from 58 years to 4 months. The upstairs was perfect for our son and his wife with their two young children. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a loft area with a sofa, coffee table, game closet, and television. One of the rooms has a closet big enough to store child-sized furniture. It was a wonderful area for them to have their own family space. We hope to stay here in the future and will bring a baby gate for the stairs for the little one who will be toddling around by then. The house overall has plenty of space to spread out or gather. Cedars pass became a favorite place to go with a book and a cup of coffee. The decks look out to the woods and there is a view of the meadow between the trees. We loved cooking and eating together and have never had such sharp knives in a rental kitchen! The kitchen had everything we could have wanted. We were fortunate with the weather and had some wonderful, warm days that were perfect for swimming, cycling, and enjoying the beautiful decks. Our 3-year-old grandson LOVED the tour of the fire station that occurs every Wednesday morning and riding the gentle horse that his daddy lead around the arena! I also want to say how easy Diane made the rental experience. I appreciated working with her."

  • Fantastic house for big group in the perfect location!

"We had a group of 7 adults and 4 kids for a family reunion, and we could not have asked for a better house at Black Butte. The house is beautiful and in great shape. We really appreciated the large dining table that seated all of us, and the nice open kitchen that was well equipped and had plenty of storage space for the abundance of food we brought! There was all kinds of great rec equipment...3 bikes and plenty of helmets, pool toys, tennis rackets, and swimming towels (and lots of games and DVDs, which we didn't use because we were outside most of the time!). The location was ideal, especially with kids. It's a 5-10 minute walk (or even shorter bike ride) to the Glaze Meadow rec complex, where we played in the pool, got massages, played at the playground, played tennis and bocce ball, and rented bikes and trailers. The house is adjacent to the bike path, and there's a beautiful lake and meadow a few minutes' walk from the house. We even saw 2 bald eagles not too far from the house! The bedroom configuration worked really well for us-- the master was nice and spacious, and even had a big closet area where we put the pack n play for our youngest. The older kids loved the bunk beds. There are also lots of decks, which provide lots of options for hanging out outside."
