  • Favorite House at Black Butte

"This home is lovely, well kept and well managed. The Foote's (owners / managers) were responsive and helpful, making the whole process and stay smooth and easy. The home is large and easily sleeps 10 as it states on VRBO - not only that, the size of the home allows for 10 people to comfortably coexist - furthermore the huge kitchen makes it's easy for multiple people to prepare food! We loved the loft room over the garage as the kids room and hang out, the kids felt like they had their own hideaway and it made bedtime easy. One of the best features of this house is the AIR CONDITIONING! It got hot while we were at BBR and it was so nice to come back to a cool house. The back of the home looks out into an open space and every morning and every night there were deer running through. At one point we saw 11 deer in the backyard at once - pretty amazing and the kids loved it. We also enjoyed the large garage at this house which made getting bikes in / out super easy. Perfect location as well - close enough to Glaze Meadow to walk (or bike) and an enjoyable bike ride to the Lodge (Lakeside) Pool through the cow pasture meadow. We loved staying here and hope to stay again next summer!"

  • Fantastic house for big group in the perfect location!

"We had a group of 7 adults and 4 kids for a family reunion, and we could not have asked for a better house at Black Butte. The house is beautiful and in great shape. We really appreciated the large dining table that seated all of us, and the nice open kitchen that was well equipped and had plenty of storage space for the abundance of food we brought! There was all kinds of great rec equipment...3 bikes and plenty of helmets, pool toys, tennis rackets, and swimming towels (and lots of games and DVDs, which we didn't use because we were outside most of the time!). The location was ideal, especially with kids. It's a 5-10 minute walk (or even shorter bike ride) to the Glaze Meadow rec complex, where we played in the pool, got massages, played at the playground, played tennis and bocce ball, and rented bikes and trailers. The house is adjacent to the bike path, and there's a beautiful lake and meadow a few minutes' walk from the house. We even saw 2 bald eagles not too far from the house! The bedroom configuration worked really well for us-- the master was nice and spacious, and even had a big closet area where we put the pack n play for our youngest. The older kids loved the bunk beds. There are also lots of decks, which provide lots of options for hanging out outside."

  • Fabulous vacation home!

"We arrived at the secluded home situated on a cul de sac in Black Butte. We discovered the home looks better in person than in the photos! The interior is classy and fun, the bathrooms and bed fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked and we had all needed for a great in house meal. The deck is well furnished including a gas fire table. We loved our stay here and may return...we got engaged here right out on the deck so this home will forever hold a place in our hearts! Sincerely- David and Lori Pile"

  • Great Location!

"This log home is well situated to the South Meadow Pool and tennis courts, the Glaze Meadow recreation center and the bike paths. It's amazingly quiet as it is off the main street even though there are neighbors nearby. The owners are wonderfully responsive and the house is well stocked. This house easily could host 2 families with a master downstairs, a queen upstairs and a "bunk" room with 4 beds. Our dog loved it as well - he particularly enjoyed sitting on the frong porch while we were out and about."
