  • Christmas Get-Away with Family

"Because Christmas is a busy time with close (meaning those close in distance) family members, those of us located a distance away have been celebrating Christmas the first weekend after New Years. We enjoy getting away, so that each of the three families involved travels some, but no one has to travel a great distance. This year we opted to get together and play in the snow over our holiday. There were 12 of us this year, ranging in age from 8 to 70. This house met our needs extremely well. We had enough space to ensure privacy, with beds for all, and bathroom space adequate to serve our needs. The home is well appointed, and truly has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners even had a sufficient quantity of snow on hand in the area to satisfy everyone! The home was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. It appears that the home is well maintained and cared for. The owners, Clark and Bridget, provided excellent customer service to us. I had a question about the SHARC passes, and Clark responded to my question within 20 minutes. Another issue arose, regarding extending our stay for an additional night, and again, he responded within 20 minutes or so, and we were able to work out an arrangement to extend our time in the home. He even called once to give us an up-to-date road and weather report, based on his personal trip to Sun River from west of the mountains. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay. In fact, we're planning to return in the future, and will definitely try to rent one of Clark and Bridget's homes."

  • Kid-Friendly Home in The Middle of it All

"You get what you see with this home. It isn't over-the-top fancy but it is the perfect home to bring large groups that include children and the location is PRIME. The only thing I would say is that there is only room for a total of 15 adults and that is if you have 2 people on the pull-out couch (which I would only suggest for maybe 1 child as there's no way my 6'4" husband would fit on there even alone). The owner is a pleasure to work with and that makes the whole process so much easier. We had an absolute blast sledding around the neighborhood, night sledding at the SHARC, skiing Bachelor (you are only about 20-25 min drive away), and visiting the Sunriver Village area. Also, the hot tub was perfect and everyone enjoyed their time in it during our stay. I think it snowed 8" just in the 4 days we were there!"

  • Great house, easy location

"We loved the layout of the house. It was clean with the exception of the carpets...they seemed a bit old and stained, but that was fine in a way because we brought our dog (but she is a good dog!) The living room layout is a bit tricky with the TV and dining etc as the fire place runs right up the middle of the room. (this was probably only an issue because it was cold an rainy the whole time we were there so we were inside a lot) The rooms are a great size and access to the bathrooms from bedrooms was perfect. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was clean. The location was so nice. The proximity to the rec center is great. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Our only real complaint was with the weather! :-)"
