"When we arrived in August, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the house was rather cool since there is no air conditioning. In addition, there were fans provided in each bedroom which were a big help when the house heated up in the afternoons. The living space downstairs was quite comfortable with plenty of room for cooking in the good sized kitchen. There were a few things that I might improve, but they didn't affect our overall experience. One was that the door on the fridge opened backwards, making it a little awkward to load and unload the fridge. An easy fix, though, as the door is meant to open either way. Also, the "sliding" doors were very sticky, almost requiring two hands to open and close. If you plan to do any cooking in this house, I would suggest that you bring a large non-stick skillet since all of the cookware was not non-stick. Though there were quite a few useful utensils, a good spatula would have been nice. Extra kitchen towels are always on our list of things to take to Sunriver, and I'm glad we took some this time.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are good sized, and we liked that the bedrooms were all upstairs. The small bathroom downstairs was really handy, too. The location of the house made it very quiet and the use of the additional outdoor space was a real plus. Having the SHARC passes is a must for us and we used them daily. However, unless you are a real bike enthusiast, I would suggest driving to the pool as it is quite a ways from the pool.
We really enjoyed our stay and would probably return to this house."
