  • Small but very comfortable

"At 580 sq.ft. Dewayne's Place is small but very well appointed. The kitchen has new appliances (gas range with electric oven, 1100 watt microwave, big fridge), every conceivable cooking tool, plentiful dishes and flatware, a comfortable bathtub, quiet neighborhood and a recent remodel. Situated near the heart of Baker City, you can walk to downtown and numerous restaurants. Owner Debi has provided a generous supply of brochures for all your local outdoor and recreational needs. Watch for the covey of quail in the yard early in the mornings. Give Dewayne's a try, you won't regret it. Bob and Marcy Astoria, OR"

  • Very nice

"We enjoyed the property very much. It was well stocked and very comfortable. I would suggest more outside lighting especially the stairs. I actually fell coming back at night."

  • New Years Cheer to 2017

"A group of us are snowmobiler's and it worked great, plenty of parking and closer to the snopark too. Plenty of rooms for the amount of people we had, and space to hang out. It's a older house so it has set backs to the modern comforts that we have today, but the view in the morning was spectacular. My only drawback is that it takes awhile to get a reply... I had to search for the address... But plan to come back. Thanks!"

  • Union Loft

"A friend and I stayed in the loft for three nights. It was well stocked and comfortably furnished (comfortable beds! Always a plus) and provided a great base for exploring the area for bird watching, hiking and driving back roads. The loft is within walking distance of restaurants (try the LG Brewskis Pub) the Union Museum (a great museum!), and the Union Hotel. Dave and Mindy were wonderful hosts and provided lots of information on things to see and do. I am a bird watcher, so they suggested we might try the Union Cemetery for owls, and one evening we found 3 juvenile and 1 adult Great Horned Owls lounging around the tombstones. The Ladd Marsh Refuge was great for bird watching, and nine miles away the somewhat funky Cove Mineral Pool was a fun visit. Thanks to Dave and Mindy for helping make the visit so enjoyable - I'll be back!"
