  • It was great. Karin. and Gus have made some improvements since the last time we stayed.

"This was the second time my husband and I stayed at the house. My husband, son and our daughter-in-law loved the new boat dock! Karin had told me the fish were biting and they were. We had a great fish fry one night for dinner! Our grandsons (5 and 1) had fun.....we had to put up the baby gate to keep Connor from going up the stairs. He started walking while we were there. Must have been that great lake atmosphere! 😊򒠊 The only issues we had was that there was only one bathroom......that and the stairs: with a bad back, knees and hips, it taxed my husband and I a little.....oh, but the view from the deck more than made up for it! It's a lovely place and we thoroughly enjoyed our selves and hope to come again. Wallowa Lake is a great place to get away, regroup and refresh body and mind. Our thanks to Karin and Gus. • Loved our stay and experience...

"Serene location, beautiful house wonderful noncity experience. Would definitely visit again for an extended stay. Stable WiFi would have made few family members who remotely worked from there even merrier. Plum trees around bearing delicious fruits complimented our meal and kept kids busy. Overall, loved our stay and experience. Thanks, Chitra"

  • Union Loft

"A friend and I stayed in the loft for three nights. It was well stocked and comfortably furnished (comfortable beds! Always a plus) and provided a great base for exploring the area for bird watching, hiking and driving back roads. The loft is within walking distance of restaurants (try the LG Brewskis Pub) the Union Museum (a great museum!), and the Union Hotel. Dave and Mindy were wonderful hosts and provided lots of information on things to see and do. I am a bird watcher, so they suggested we might try the Union Cemetery for owls, and one evening we found 3 juvenile and 1 adult Great Horned Owls lounging around the tombstones. The Ladd Marsh Refuge was great for bird watching, and nine miles away the somewhat funky Cove Mineral Pool was a fun visit. Thanks to Dave and Mindy for helping make the visit so enjoyable - I'll be back!"

  • Perfect place to enjoy the Wallowa Lake area.

"We enjoyed the quiet of the Lake and Mountains yet it was easy to get to Joseph and the Marina area. We had small children with us and having two separate floors of living space allowed my sister and her family privacy upstairs and our friend, my husband and I to have quiet on the decks and downstairs. The house was clean and well maintained. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the scenery and quiet made for a very relaxing vacation. We cooked in most every night and found the kitchen very accommodating."
